Help me get a new browser!

Weird to start every sentence with second word. You think?
My point is, does Google care?
-
-
Well, honestly, we're kinda out of options here. There are probably hundreds of browsers and applications that use WebKit/Blink in some fashion. We already listed the most popular / stable ones. Anything past that is terra incognita.

think it usually doesn't. . sometimes, it does. don't know WTF is going on, but some specific queries yield different results depending on whether you stuff this "a" at the beginning or not. , it's another thing to remember when doing basic stuff with a computer - and I hate to have to remember stuff to be able to do trivial things. hate having to put a space between closing angle brackets in C++03, and I hate having to omit the first word of my search but only if it's single letter. no, "g" isn't a good solution, because now I have to remember to put "g" before every search, but only if it starts with a single-letter word.I just disable it? it really that hard to implement?

I have NFC why that hardcoded list exists in Opera 15+. In 12 you could edit or delete any and all default engines. It annoys me as well, I used to have
y
for YouTube, but nope, we need Yahoo there!

Okay then.I just disable it? it really that hard to implement?
Probably screws up their search engine deals.

Oh hey, TIL NetSprint is dead. I think I used it, like... once?
Do you remember szukacz.pl? An when people were still setting wp.pl as their start page because it had "search the web" function?
INB4: of course you remember, I meant it in a nostalgic way.

They fixed this on the YouTube side of things. It now waits for you to focus the tab before it starts playing the video.
Yes, this is so much better. No more 20 videos playing at the same time.
Because it's annoying to some people? Besides, you can pin tabs if you want them to be opened again later and then unpin them when you are done. I always have https://calendar.google.com/ pinned.
Oh, yeah, that thing... I should use that feature more often...
-
No more 20
videosads playing at the same time.FTFY. Ever since they've introduced YouTube Red the ad insertion has literally quadrupled IME.

FTFY. Ever since they've introduced YouTube Red the ad insertion has literally quadrupled IME.
now id that because more people are monetizing the videos or is youtube adifying the monetized videos more ehavily in order to convince more people to get YouTubeRed?
and are the content creators seeing any more money than they were before or are they getting even less because youtube fucked the independent content creators over again?
-
I will never get over that name...
-
youtube fucked the independent content creators over again?
Most likely this. To date, I haven't gotten a single Penny
onfor any of my vids, despite being viewed tens of times!
-
Youtube + Red = ?
-
Of course not! How could you say something like that? I'm shocked at you. Shocked!

i'm not disagreeing with you, just to be clear, just trying to get info.
-
Eh... umm... so... I kinda actually have a Youtube Red account.....
Filed Under: I swear I didn't get it for that though - that's only because it came with an unlimited Google Play Music account
-

They were supposed to be? But it's mu, because I'm not a content creator anyways.
actually
I'm attempting to incite meaningful conversation by trolling for a few seconds to get people talking.Edit: Aw belgium, apparently monetization isn't enabled on my account. Thought I clicked that button a few years ago...

Honestly though, I was serious. I rather like

"text on par with pro level" -- gibberish.
Slay-p-near? Uh. That's not the correct way to say that.

Sounds good to me. It's from Norse mythology so...

I'd suggest Vivaldi.
-
-
But?
it's written in Node and hammers your RAM and CPU like there's no tomorrow.
Maybe it would be usable now that I have 16GB of RAM?

Man, you could run a Discourse instance for your family and a few friends, if you'd just double it!
-
Slay-p-near is not how the little speaker icon on Dictionary.com there pronounces it, either. For one thing, it's not a 3-syllable word.

What function does ancient Firefox's status bar perform that Chrome's pop-up version does not?
It's there when I want to look at it, but it doesn't blink hard enough to grab hold of my eyeballs and drag them to the bottom corner of the screen when I don't want to look at it. Status 4 evar!

Is this something I'd need to turn off Adblock Plus to understand?

Dunno. Did you pay for Adblock Plus? I don't think they accept refunds...
-
-
Yeah, $5.
TIL Donation is the same as redirected payment (I guess? Legalese and all that).

I think this is just the result of it being a Japanese browser. Sure, the name is Norse, but they'd make it something like Sureipuniiru. Which when they English it, comes out as 'slaypneer'. I don't even know if they meant that -p- to look like a syllable. Anyway, they clearly don't have the best grasp of how English works. They probably ought to hire someone for it, but I find the horrible engrish somewhat endearing.

Marketing tip 1: if you need a pronounciation guide for your product, it's a badly named product. See expertsexchange.com
-
It's actually not a bad game.
-
That one has the nice additional fun of an illegible font for the name.
And what looks suspiciously like a mullet

(The pronunciation guide isn't even correct. Unless they are coining a new word "sleipnir" which has no relationship to the existing one.)
-
I'd suggest Vivaldi.
I didn't check the actual thing, but I'm liking the direction they're marketing themselves as, at least.
I'll keep any eye on it, thanks.Everyone else, feel free to begin spooking me with Vivaldi horror stories, though. [omitted]
