You've never watched that? It is fucking gold, mostly because he is taking the piss out of himself, the public's perception if him, and the company he founded that still bears his name.
Last I heard, he was in Tennessee running for some local office or something. I want to go party with that guy.

-
Or President...
...he can't be worse than Trump.
-
He's clearly a hell of a lot brighter than Trump, and would certainly be funnier.
-
I always attributed that to my ESL, and also wondered how come that similarity did no tip off Gandalf about Saruman't true nature.
-

Not a big achievementand would certainly be funnier.
In a sense yes, unless you are into clownsOr President...
Yes, let me think, yes I like to see more of that clip in the campaigns, it should be mandatory.
-

We have quite the diverse group here, may I ask where you are from?
Edit: Or, if from the USA, what your native language is?
-

Nothing says "presidential" like a face full of bath salts.

Nothing says "presidential" like a face full of bath salts.
Yes, unfortunately I do not think that will be in his favor specially in the US but I like to see more of that. I prefer to see next president's mistress(es) more than his/her personal pastor. And instead of candidates lying about their total devotion to some church I prefer to see them naked in a bath with some beautiful ladies, why not.Now what else I like about McAfee as president:
He is not a self-righteous hypocrite. He is a self-made businessman with an honest track record who does not need to pander to the sensitivities of his constituency. If he likes to take bath with many beautiful partners of his choice that is only a plus in my book, he has earned the right to spread his genes. Did I say he cares about privacy and human rights?

...he can't be worse than Trump.
The list of people who can is surprisingly small, given that there are billions of people who might be added to that list.
So, avoiding placement on that list is

I think we're all on the same page there.

Considering "gay panic" counts as a legitimate reason for temporary insanity in court, at least the symptoms must have long been recognized. Actually it seems like that was even the original meaning of "homophobia" (page 2, top of right column)What makes you think I did?
It's first time that I recall transphobia being used in the original "phobia" sense, not as the "term for prejudice".I'm not saying it's incorrect usage currently. I'm saying the redefinition that occurred a long ago was at the very least unfortunate if not incorrect and causes
ITYM ambiguity. Of course that generalization of the term was due to rather similar effects. As in xenophobia AKA racism, there may be a few particularly nasty individuals who coolly calculate the possibility of scapegoating foreigners or differently-colored people for personal gain, but in J. Random Racist I daresay racism is at least to a good deal the result of fear of "people who are different".disambiguity now.much sufferinga lot of enjoyment for us trollsSorry, I was probably unclear as both @Fox and you misunderstood me. What I was asking is how do I know which one you are referring to if you just say "transphobia"?
If it matters *and* it's not clear from the context *and* not explicitly mentioned I guess you'll have to ask.@LaoC said:
I suppose so did his little jab at "English majors" ...You probably missed @polygeekery's struggle with orthography.
Ah, no I didn't miss that and I didn't miss your first calling him out on it. But I missed the fact that your latest post still referenced that stuff.
-
You've never watched that?
I've seen it. I wondered if it was a comedy sketch or the real McAfee but didn't bother to check then.
-
that was even the original meaning of "homophobia"
Then we should have sticked with that but now it's too late.
ITYM ambiguity.
Of course
I can't even blame alcohol on that one, the policemen who checked me on my drive to work in the morning today can verify that.similar effects
Wanking has similar effects to sex but it's (usually) not called sex.
I agree there are some effects that are similar whether you clinically fear/hate someone or just "coolly" don't like someone.
Still it creates ambiguity and I think it is useful to disambiguate them.

The list of people who can is surprisingly small, given that there are billions of people who might be added to that list.
And they're all running on the Democrat ticket!
-
It's cute that you think any of the democrats would be worse than Trump, because that would also imply that all of the other Republican candidates would also be worse.
-

That is not at all what he said. I really pity any person who has to debug the logic that you write.
-
It's cute that you think any of the democrats would be worse than Trump,
I'm flattered that you think I'm cute.
...because that would also imply that all of the other Republican candidates would also be worse.
LOL.
-
LOL.
Well, if we merely apply the Sandwich Theorem, where
0 <= {Republican candidates} <= {Democratic candidates}
and
{Democratic candidates} < {Trump}
then
{Republican candidates} < {Trump}:)
-
Well, if we merely apply the Sandwich Theorem, where 0 <= {Republican candidates} <= {Democratic candidates}
Aha! Proof by contradiction, eh?
-
Proof by contradiction
Most Republicans I know of are wholly opposed to the idea that Trump is a part of their party, so I fail to see where you think there is a contradiction.

Yes, he's been a real Clinton suck up for quite a while and a long history of supporting policies like single payer healthcare, so it shouldn't be a surprise that people who remember that stuff scratch their heads about him.
Still, I'm not a complete monster. I'm not going to call him a Democrat or anything.

Kneeling before bed? Or does standing suffice?
If you harm others as a result of your phobia, that needs to be stopped, whichever definition of phobia it falls under.
Oh Fox, I just love you, y'know? You're awesome! You're an awesome guy!banned from literally every country on Earth.
You're playing with fire!
When I first read Lord of the Rings in junior high, I was very confused. I mixed up Sauron and Saruman a lot.
Yeah, the same thing happened to me when I read "The Twelve Caesars" back in preschool.

Much like everything else in this SJW thread...
That...never happened.

Actually, it's just a bit too convenient that wikipedia is largely controlled by SJWs, who put their preferred politically-motivated persuasive redefinitions there, then point people to the site as having the correct definitions.

I muted that thread for a reason. At the root of the argument is a disagreement on how to define "man" and "woman". Unless someone here has managed to do something that thousands of years of philosophers haven't, namely figure out how to prove a value judgement, which definition should be used is a matter of opinion. So there's no hope of either side convincing the other.

No matter how you do, there are reactions that cause distress and reactions that don't. There's still a slim chance for some people to recognize they don't need any philosophers to tell them that no distress is better than distress.@LaoC said:
