The unofficial poIling thread

Okay, since that poll isn't working, let's try this one:
Most likely to get punched in the face

Apparently if you hit View Results, you can't then vote until you hit the button again.
Makes sense, I guess, I just hadn't thought about it before.
-
I clicked one of the images accidentally; How do I cancel my vote?
-
You can't, but if you click hide results you can change your vote.

Mobile is different.

There's a character named Ben Lubar in that poll.

Too much discussion, not enough polls!
[poll name="Is there too much discussion, and not enough polls?"]
- Yes

Fuck Discourse. Or @pjh. Or me. Whatever.

Hey, I see Discourse is STILL randomly unfollowing threads and categories for me. Thanks, @wanker.

Well, badges don't have an equivalent in NodeBB, so we'd need to make a plugin for that and hook it up to the importer for stuff like pendantry and whooshing. Wouldn't want @accalia to lose all her badges.
We also don't have polls in the new forum, so the various poIling topics would lose their votes.
Also, the importer crashes the entire forum container when it tries to import votes (likes, not poll votes).
And there's some error about permissions when it tries to add the groups (trust levels and manually added groups). =Þ

It has a plugin for awards which can be manually awarded. Haven't really messed with it too much to see how it works.
Awarding them automagically is still on the TODO list for it though.

you wouldn't
I would.
Between you and him, some of you would, therefore you would. QED.

We have polls in this forum, and various topics still lose their polls.

Well, that was anticlimactic.
-
[poll type=multiple min=1 max=3]
- Well you need two...
- But you can have more!
- Which can be pretty exciting...
- As far as Mini-disc Horse Racing is concerned...

I think the max per poll is 25. :(

I messed with it before without success (although I doubt it's unbreakable).
-
Seconded on this screenshot:
It looks even worse because your screenshot is stacked on top of the poll, too.

You cheated by observing that it was Discourse, though.

I think we got the obvious ones fixed relatively quickly. You know, maximum lower than minimum, minimum higher than number of items, stuff like that.

obvious ones fixed
Which software do you think we're talking about here? Because I think we're not thinking of the same software.

I mean, they fixed the XSS via modal pretty quickly. That counts for something, right? right?
-
Get it? I'm polling for notifications!

I got notified about the hidden quote, but not the @mention. Congrats!

I already knew the @mention wouldn't work, so I was only testing the hidden quote.
Actually, how about this:
edit: well, that certainly looked much better in preview!
-
Somehow, magically, that worked. Probably because Discourse doesn't afraid of invalid HTML.
-
-
Well I dunno about your most recent post (it just shows as a reply) but @anotherusername's post showed as a quote. Discourse generated the HTML into the title text so it obviously registered the quote tag.
-
showed as a quote
Ah, so quoting doth work, but @mentions never work. I was getting excited for a second! :shoe:
