The thread of movie titles and absence of badges. In previous episodes, it was signs you're getting older, chiropractic vs. medicine, atheism vs. Mormonism and religion vs. science with no existentialism nor philosophy thrown in

Was this the right one? I don't get it...

Either Face or Cup, presumably. Mask being on the wrong track rules out face...
Unless it's Face/Off?
Neither.
Assault and rob? While wearing a hat. Or a mask that covers the head. Makes sense, but I'm not coming up with a movie title.
Now we're getting somewhere. Neither hat nor mask, but something that's actually rather associated with people who assault and rob. There's at least two film versions of the story, with the same title.
Frankenstein
Nope.

Balaclava
-
Nope.

Unless I miscounted, IMDB says 17 movies and 7 TV series or mini-series. That doesn't include The Adventures of Robin Hood, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, etc.

I thought there were probably more but I could only remember the Disney one and the 2010 Russel Crowe one.

The shade of Errol Flynn weeps, silently...
-
the Disney one
Disney Robin Hood is a good one, even if it's as accurate as a blakeyrant is calm ;)Plus it has foxes in the lead roles (so I guess @accalia likes it too )
-
so I guess @accalia likes it too
yep.
although i do prefer men in tights.... but that's probably only because of Sir Patrick Stewart

For me, it's a toss-up between that and the Disney one for favourite.Men in Tights also has, alongside the legend that is SirPatStew, an excellent stab at Kevin Costner:
"Because, unlike some other Robin Hoods, I can speak with an English accent"

Anyone else still here? This game is fun.
Belligerent of an unfortunate ordinal
I think that one's pretty easy so here's another:
Estate of the forest mountains

You speak Treason!!
Errol Flynn as Robin: "Fluently!"

Half a dozen aquatic mammals ahead
I doubt it's what you're looking for, but IMDB tells me there was a movie titled SEAL Team VI, as well as TV movies named Seal Team Six: The Raid on Osama Bin Laden and Secrets of SEAL Team Six.
-
-
I think I might need to reword this one:
There are half a dozen aquatic mammals ahead of this one
-
The Seventh Seal

Still looking for:
Penetrating Hydraulic Flux — Hint: Hydraulic -> Related to water, not machinery"wot bwings us togeder today."
Not the movie the quote came from, but the movie title I'm looking for is related to the statement. Since there are many movies that satisfy that requirement, I will attempt to disambiguate it somewhat by saying the title I'm looking for is two words.
If that's still ambiguous, who was involved is a critical part of the title.
Already eliminated True Romance

A river runs through it
Yes. I didn't think it would take so long for someone to get that.

You made your guess when I was out at a more-or-less mandatory work social Thing: I'd got the same answer but hadn't had time to post it.

@CarrieVS said:Estate of the forest mountains
but that might be a hard one.

Cabin in the Woods
Estate of the forest mountains
I don't think that's right, but I can't think of anything else.
-
Cabin in the Woods
Nope.
Hint: don't be too literal, this one needs some fact-finding as well as a thesaurus.

Wait until tomorrow then. I have a suspicion it might well still be here.

I, Robot.
Good, but somebody else (CBA to discosearch) already got the one I was thinking of. Which was a good guess, because I misremembered the title, and the clue is exactly the opposite of what it should have been something like "It's not important at all to avoid ..."
BTW, still looking for this one.

Like an upstanding and law-abiding citizen of the WTDWTF forums, I posted as I was catching up instead of reading the whole topic before posting.
I saw the correct answer to your wrong clue after I posted my reply.
BTW, still looking for this one.
I thought about it, but nothing pops up in my mind...

It's been out there for quite a while, so it's probably due for some more hints.
The one I have in mind is a classic from 1951.

There was a very widely publicized one IRL a few years ago.
"wot bwings us togeder today."
Hmmmmm.
who was involved is a critical part of the title.
Twister.
the title I'm looking for is two words.
