Not necessarily "privileged", and definitely not a slacker. My first job was working for a company my father was part of executive management of. I was not there that long, from there on out all the jobs I had were the result of job offers I was given while working somewhere else. So, I never applied at all. Straight to discussing comp. Then I started my own business.
