I probably could post every single song from Mandylion and Nighttime Birds as my favorite, and see no contradiction there. Here's one often (wrongly) left out of lists of their greatest ones:

Minute waltz wants banjo. But if watching this makes you feel Mozarty, getting really drunk and dying couldn't hurt.

Not much option, there are very few to no black dyes, only pigments.

Brilliant album!
I also saw Soulwax on tour back in 2008, supported by 2manydjs. Probably the only time I've seen a group be their own support act.

I'm proud to say I found it by myself on my first playthrough.
I can't believe I forgot and skipped it on my third.
Edit: after Glottis leaves, Manny will play the first few notes of this song but substitute with "Oh ooh Meche". Wait, no I might be misremembering something. I'm pretty sure Glottis also sings the same little ditty with "Oh ooh Bone Wagon".
Ah never mind, I was misremembering. It's not the same:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WMXd9omCX8
But Manny's gets close to the anchor song, I think.

The second movement of Samuel Barber's String Quartet, Op. 11, 1936, which he arranged for string orchestra under the title Adagio for Strings, also in 1936. He also used it as the music for his 1967 Agnus Dei, which is what this is. The two earlier versions are, as the names imply, strictly instrumental, not vocal.
Adagio for Strings is almost certainly his best-known music, and has been called "the saddest music ever written."

This is fairly fitting for how it was used in the original Homeworld. One of the more memorable scenes in any game - I still remember the mission where the track was used, despite Homeworld having been released in 1999 originally. (Homeworld 3 was recently announced, hence stumbling across this now. Trying to not buy into the hype, though.)
The Homeworld version posted above is apparently just with vocals, no instruments.
