This one is unfortunately rather sort. I've played through infinitelooper a few times a while ago.

Wanted to honor all the career / job talk around here. Couldn't find the song I wanted (Moving Up), but have this:
Cuz now you're 35 and working in a warehouse cuz you spent your college money on cocaine.

I never even watched the video, actually. And can't do so, in fact.

TRWTF is that image. It's like Star Wars, only instead of a Death Star it's a woman's rear and instead of Alderaan it's some kind of strange blue orb floating on top of the water.
-

only instead of a Death Star it's a woman's rear
WAT. It's a scarab beetle car/spaceship.
-
WAT. It's a scarab beetle car/spaceship.
And it's escaping, as per the title of the album.
-
WAT. It's a scarab beetle car/spaceship.
I don't see it. I still see a dismembered feminine arse wearing a thong, blasting fire out from the anus like some kind of perverted sci-fi weapon of mass destruction.
-
You don't look at the Journey album covers, do you?
-
I don't think I have any Journey in my collection, which is actually pretty strange since they're right smack-dab in the middle of the genres and time periods I listen to.
-
WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU
You should at least start with Escape, which has one of the best songs OF ALL TIME in it and is free of Gleetaint.
-
I did see Journey in concert about a month ago. Not sure if that redeems me in your eyes or not.
I don't mind them but they're on the pop-rock side of things while I tend more towards traditional heavy metal. Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, early Metallica, BOC, etc.

Only marginally

NO! STOP! MY BEAUTIFUL THREAD! .... RUINED.....
-
This is TDWTF. Did you seriously expect it to stay unruined?
-
I don't see it. I still see a dismembered feminine arse wearing a thong, blasting fire out from the anus like some kind of perverted sci-fi weapon of mass destruction.
I knew what it was all the way back in the 70s when I was a kid.

One of my favorites by Temptations.
Unfortunately, psychedelic soul is one of those genres that had their time and then went away. Unlike some (khm-disco-ahkhm), undeservedly so, IMO.

Bit.Trip is one of the world's most boring/generic games with one of the world's greatest game soundtracks.
Here's another game with a great soundtrack, Parallax for the C-64. (A real 8-bit chiptune.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8LEA23R-Nc
It was written by Martin Galway, the king of C-64 music, and the SID (basically the sound chip machine code dump) for that 11:24 track is 11,346 bytes. A lot of disk savings comes from the piece being partially procedurally-generated (the SID couldn't be truly "programmed", but you could have it do pretty amazing things with a very small number of commands.) The entire last minute or so of the song is done by feeding the SID a few commands and just telling it to continue the programmed decay for 60 seconds.

Maybe not so much?
True but if my servers and switches at work did that I'd spend all day watching them.

is this better?

if you looked for you phone while listening to that song
I didn't, but I did consider downloading the Nokia tune for my work Blackberry.

maaaaaybe......

and if you looked for you phone while listening to that song
Usually the first or second thing I do with a new phone is change my ringtone from the default.
For a while I had the first 30 seconds of The Dead Kennedys' cover of Rawhide as my ringtone, but I kept listening to it instead of answering.

Come on guys, the chat thread is there for a reason.

My pick for Saturday 2014/10/11
Great indie/ambiental rock.
This band was in the upswing, it seems, when they got into a traffic accident. No one died, but they never got back together afterwards. A shame.

If you were at all consuming oxygen in 1998, you probably remember Fastball's "The Way". Fastball is one of those one-hit-wonder groups that I thought deserved to be more than a one-hit-wonder. Oh well.
Here's their second-most famous song, Out Of My Head:

I still don't understand all the hate directed at their 4th album.
