The Question is What Is The Question?
-
@PleegWat Do you happen to be in Suite 105 or 101? Has anyone told you how easy it is to get lost here?
-
@Tsaukpaetra
No, I'm in 207. Why would I be on the first floor, that's not my department?
-
@PleegWat Why are you looking for the second machine in aisle 13, serial number 666, with the red keyboard in Suite 207, when the Inactive Directory clearly indicates that machine is shared between Suites 101, 105, and 932?
-
Why have there been no questions here in 2019?
-
@Keith
When did 2019 sneak up on us?
-
@izzion Was it a sneak, or a secret trap?
-
@Keith OMG is that a Kieth?
-
@Tsaukpaetra
Are calendar traps gay?
-
@izzion Does calendar traps being gay increase the social diversity of the year?
-
@Tsaukpaetra said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
@Keith OMG is that a Kieth?
Does it walk like a Keith, swim like a Keith and quack like a Keith?
-
@Keith If it does, does that make it a duck?
-
@Keith Friend!?
-
@Tsaukpaetra said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
@Keith If it does, does that make it a duck?
If that makes it a duck, does that make everyone a duck?
-
@Gribnit would that only apply if they walk like a @Keith, swim like a @Keith and quack like a @Keith?
-
@pie_flavor said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
@Keith Friend!
Why is there no question in your post?
-
@pie_flavor did you just break the rules?
-
@loopback0 does @pie_flavor know the rules?
-
@Tsaukpaetra If @pie_flavor doesn't know the rules, wouldn't it be strange if he'd shown evidence in the past of knowing the rules?
Why is he so excited?
-
@Gribnit said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
Why is he so excited?
Maybe he recently tasted himself?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Is there any way I could persuade you to answer "no" to the question of whether you would be excited by tasting yourself?
-
@Gribnit would it ever stop being exciting to taste yourself?
-
What is going on with this thread? Shouldn't it be dead?
-
@Luhmann does it need to be killed like a meme?

Doesn’t anyone expect the Spanish Inquisitiveness?

Can they still have them if they never expect them?

Have you considered that the title of this topic is not properly a question (and needs some quotation marks)?
-
@kazitor
Aren't quotation marks for "dorks"?
-
@Luhmann Do you know how to say "no" phrased as a question?
-
@kazitor
No?
-
@Luhmann You knew that's not technically a question, didn't you?
-
@kazitor
That depends how pedantically you define a question, doesn't it?
-
@Luhmann Would you agree that some sort of interrogative word is a necessity? Or perhaps that pendants are not a barrier to posting on these fora?
Have you noticed that many well-formed questions don't actually require an interrogative word because I was wrong about that?
-
@kazitor
Isn't written text just a representation of spoken words with punctuation as an incomplete way to express intonations and meaning?
-
@kazitor
Also: are you changing your replies behind my back?
-
@Luhmann said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
Isn't written text just a representation of spoken words with punctuation as an incomplete way to express intonations and meaning?
Is that relevant to the grammatical structure of a question?
@Luhmann said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
Also: are you changing your replies behind my back?
Am I misguided in thinking it best to disclose flaws in my reasoning? Were you aware that a page refresh could enable you to view the reply's history? Do you classify "augmentation" under "alteration"?
-
Am I asking enough questions?!
-
@kazitor Have you considered if you're asking too many?
-

Isn't written text just a representation of spoken words with punctuation as an incomplete way to express intonations and meaning?No! Use more words! Isn't that the joy of abusing the language?
-
@DogsB
Did you get consent?
-
@Luhmann said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
@DogsB
Did you get consent?What are you accusing him of? Is a rhetorical question a proper question? Who was that stooped and mealy-colored man we used to call Poppa when the merry go round broke down?
-
@Luhmann said in The Question is What Is The Question?:
Did you get consent?
Was the con actually sent? Did you get a tracking number?
-
@dkf if it was sent, but not delivered, was it really sent?
-
@Tsaukpaetra If it was delivered, but not sent, was it really delivered?
-
@Gribnit
If a bear stole the package, took it to the woods and took a dump in it would the woodchucker need to pay extra?
-
@Luhmann If the woodchucker needs to pay extra can he recover his costs from the bear in woodland court?
-
@Gribnit
Wouldn't that be up to king Nobel?
-
@Luhmann if it were, would he give out prizes?
-
@Tsaukpaetra
Are you a fox?
-
@Luhmann if I am, what would I say?
