@Arantor In Canada, one of the big dollar store chains is called "A Buck Or Two", and indeed, early on it had items at a maximum of $2. But then the prices started creeping up, and at some point they rebranded the stores as "Buck Or Two Plus"
They missed a perfect opportunity for a name change: Buckaroo++

We have Poundland here. Back in the 90s basically everything was £1 but that's not the case now. They haven't rebranded though.

Also to temporarily go ontopic, in London there's Pound Town.
Weirdly looks photoshopped in that image, but here it is on Google Maps

I halfway expected this to go:
Oh, you’re a blockchain developer? Name all blocks.
(Fortunately, this was much better.)
-
@topspin I think I'd respond to that question (not that I am a yank-chain developer) with:
Yes, I can name all the blocks - green S, red Z, purple T, blue L, orange J, yellow O and light-blue I also known as the long one that doesn't appear nearly fucking enough and I have to leave a space on the right hand side of the board for it.

You will find there is no basement.

Thanks for reminding me of that thing! It's still online, as evidenced above.

@topspin so did https://tetris.fandom.com/wiki/Tetromino then because I thought as you did, checked and I thought I was wrong.
Edit: I am wrong but their image doesn’t help make it less confusing.

@loopback0 Remembering an episode of "Friends" where Joey goes to an audition and on Chandler's advice tells them his name is "Holden McGroin". (And in turn, the funny names the guys on "Car Talk" gave their mostly fictional crew at the end of each show; one name was "Pat McCann".)

That weird 90's show where they'd just play static for the whole time slot? I never got into that one.

@Zecc I'm not sure, but I think it is Hole.

I recently discovered a Mac that what the corporate Windows image on it.
Strange thing, it still worked on the network, despite the normal policy to be clearing out stale records after 6 months. This computer hadn't been powered on in at least two years.
Security!
