He has body parts other than hands at the ends of his arms.

I haven't seen it, nor am I interested, but as it happens I have been aware it exists since I've been a child. Saw it referenced in a magazine, and it wasn't even that kind of magazine.

You'd need 1/2 scale to carry that. (Or 1/4 without rotation of the barrels.)
The subject of our discussion is 1/8 scale.

But very appropriate for the use-case. At 4J muzzle energy, it's just powerful enough for air combat between model planes, without causing undue danger to observers on the ground.
Just about the right power against scale-accurate ground targets too.
( For reference, Airsoft is usually limited to 1.0J. )

Sounds like it would be pretty fucking awesome to have such events. Somewhere out in the boonies.

@Benjamin-Hall I'm surprised that someone got it to sit on those blocks without crushing them. Empty, those things weigh in at >125 tons, only about 17 tons of which are the four tires.
-
@djls45 yeah, but these are the fancy red cinderblocks vs the plain gray ones.
-
@Gribnit but they're sitting on grass

125 (short) tons is 250000 pounds.
Let's make a few assumptions about those wood blocks. Assume they're 6x6s (and assume they're rough-sawn to be actually 6", not finish milled to 1/2" less, not that it makes much difference). And assume for the sake of rough estimates that they're white oak.
White oak has a crush strength perpendicular to the grain of 7400 kPa, or 1073 psi. Round that down to 1000.
If those are 6"x6", each place 2 blocks cross has an area of 36 square inches. Each stack of blocks has 4 block intersections, or 144 square inches, and there are 4 stacks. The weight is distributed over 576 square inches of white oak, so those stacks could theoretically support 576000 pounds, if it were evenly distributed and the blocks were perfectly aligned. They're not, and they're probably not white oak (red oak, maybe; they look kinda reddish in the picture), but 250000 is still not an unreasonable load. (If the blocks were oriented with the end-grain vertical, they could support 4000000 pounds, if they could be made to not tip over or split.)
-
@HardwareGeek the rims have a much, much smaller area than the oak. When they have chopped through it, they will go on through the block. When they have gone through the block, they will come for you.

they will come for you.

@dcon I like the standing ladder on the ground, seemingly (based on camera angles) right where he'd fall, so he'd land with his back on that ladder and then hit the ground beneath.
