*groan* (Is that why lawyers get paid the big bucks?)

Reading of how the guy was stuck for a couple of days underneath all that weight is too morbid for my sense of humor...
Not humorous.

In case of emergency.
I can't find it now, but there used to be a Dead Man's Switch software that would encrypt your hard drive if not logged into for a given period.
-
@jinpa
That wouldn't be entirely reliable, it seems. The process is long, the hard (inb4 @Tsaukpaetra ) drive can be disconnected before login and, unless random pass is written first, for actually critical matters clever magnetic wizardry can probably recover the bits that were there before encryption took place.
Better to encrypt right away and unlock in on login. I keep wanting to do this to my drive storing data of entirely innocent nature, but

I keep wanting to do this to my drive storing data of entirely innocent nature, butIt could be an already encrypted drive which the software refuses to unlock when too much time has elapsed. Of course, if you were aware of the software then you could try backing up the disk as a precaution and then fool around with the system clock.
EDIT: Hold on, this is the Funny Stuff thread.
Maybe any further discussion should be moved to its own thread.

I believe @Gąska is somewhat busy handling char arrays as bytes or the other way round or something in that UTF-16 thread over there. Is he properly multi-threaded? Elsewise it might take a while to get our wrong opinions properly seen to.

@Applied-Mediocrity nah, as long as you don't go full Bill Clinton, I don't care.

I'm not seeing it. What are the things?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Well, start by naming some things you see.

I see:
- White
- Ear
- Candy
- Vacuum cleaner
- Rodent
- Flower
- Brick
- Corner
- Soap
- Bedsheet
- Cotton ball
- Roller skate
- Beads
- Cornrow style
- Square
- Glass
- Mitt
- Shirt
- Jar
- Cloth
- Paper
- Candle
- Post
- Bag
- Dumbbell
- Apple with bite
- Plastic
- Handle
- Burnt toast
...
...
I think considerably more than one of these is not like another.
-
@Tsaukpaetra All I see is low-res JPEG.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I see you have gotten it.
It really is amazing how it looks completely normal until you actually try to make sense of what you're looking at, isn't it?
-

Does it? I never got that impression at all.
Edit: Also, I'm still failing to see the humor.

I mean, it's neural-net designed to look normal. The low-res helps with the floating ear too.
Edit: Also, I'm still failing to see the humor.
It was more of a bait-and-switch. Here, have another to compensate.

Everything suddenly makes so much sense.
I blame the poor choice of caption.
