also, it eats about 10% cpu on my machine

Pretty sure he's posted that before.

Ironically, I get more spam on my non-public university email address than I ever do on that one.
-
likewise. although totally expectable, since your university likely keeps an email list somewhere that is easily mined/sold to spammers.
-
Let's try this. TDWTF is a pretty popular website in the Google. I'll post the following:
ben.lubar+2014-09-22@gmail.com
Tomorrow I'll count the number of:
- Spam I get on my (not posted anywhere by me) email address
- Spam recieved at the address above that appear to be automated
- Emails recieved at the address above that appear to be human-produced
This address has not been posted anywhere before this post and under our date system, this email address will never happen again.

This shit really kills chrome when oneboxed.
Firefox with Noscript on (the first time around; after watching the video the box has the right size, I'm guessing because it now knows the actual dimensions):When clicked there's a clickjack warning, and then it
oneboxeslightboxes fine, but with a funny warning in the background:Except then there is no way to close the lightbox. Clicking the dark area doesn't do anything.
Addendum: after lightboxing, the video gets embedded in the post and plays right there.

Another thing we'll find out soon: are spammers smart enough already to just remove the "+something" from gmail addresses and send to the main address?

are spammers smart enough already to just remove the "+something" from gmail addresses and send to the main address?
Not for a while; the emails still send and the hit rate on spamming is reputedly so low that it is really not worth their time going through and trying to sanitise. The real money appears to be elsewhere these days.

Fucking splitters:

So much for "Proletarier aller Länder, vereinigt Euch!" ...
Filed under: Uniting workers, but doing it wrong

Yep, that's the true face of communism in the UK. Nobody takes the commies seriously here. The only way we'd notice true reds under the bed is when the inevitable fight breaks out due to getting that many ideological purists into that small a space…
-
I've always treasured the way they add that parenthetical Marxist-Leninist to the end. Of course, there was a time when that sort of splitting could get you killed.

MANUAL ONEBOX
I didn't know that your name is Manual.
It's an American derivative of a traditional Mexican name, Manuel Juan Box.
-
I smiled, but I refuse to reward such a bad pun with a like.

You're no fun. :-P

I'll give you a like for it.

Not my fault you guys put it in the wrong place. That's like storing milk in the cupboard and being like "we have a gallon in the cupboard! " when I put a new one in the fridge!

Relevant bits emboldened for your reading comfort.
Police said Thursday that two officers carrying out routine checks at an arcade in the western city of Bochum late last week discovered that a man playing a slot machine faced an arrest warrant.
[Source](http://ibnlive.in.com/news/german-man-wins-enough-money-on-slot-machine-to-pay-fine-and-avoid-jail-time-just-as-police-arrive-to-arrest-him/502153-79.html)He had been ordered to pay a 710-euro ($910) fine or go to prison for 71 days after resisting police during a previous incident.
Police say that as officers informed the man that he faced arrest, the slot machine started to flash and the beaming 37-year-old won a jackpot of 1,000-euro (about $1,300).
The man paid his fine on the spot - in cash.

I could see arguments for this going into either the Good or Evil ideas thread depending on how it all happened.

Yes, it is her. And I'm familiar with the New Statesman. I guess it's some sort of Communist (New Statesman) vs Fascist thing?
-
Probably.
Also, I like to think that at least one, and hopefully more, of those are actually real games.
-
"games," that is.
