While this is funny, it's kind of lazy. I realize tracking down video clips is a barrier to keeping your spoon, but....hm, that's probably as far as I should take that sentence.

you need to cook the bird before you make soup stock out of it....
raw bird makes soup stock that is not safe for consumption.
No.
.... you've never made soup stock have you?
I have, many times.
you don't boil the soup stock.
Yes you do. That is exactly how you make stock.
it messes with the flavors of the spices and veggies if you do, and almost always for the worse.
No it doesn't.
box of premade stock from costing $9
Where the hell are you buying $9 stock? Is it stock with caviar in it?
You make stock by simmering or boiling the leftover bits of whatever in water with veggies (typically mirepoix) for long periods of time to render out the flavors and collagen in the meat and bones to flavor the water and make the stock. Then you strain it and use it. I don't know what you are making that you are calling stock without boiling it, but it is not stock. It would just be rancid meat water I guess?
Hell, commercial kitchens usually make their stock in pressure cookers because they can get it done a lot more quickly. Higher temperatures render out the collagen a lot more quickly and then you just need a brief boil to "de-scum" the stock.

Also, every Google result you can find....

i've also used that particular gif like 9 times yesterday and decided not to use it again this time, but also not to find a different one

Yes, but it's funnier when you use video. I should probably start doing that again.

hmm... Ok, i'll accept your correction.you can make it by boiling. I don't boil mine as i don't like how it comes out.

Shaws. it's not the best grocery store but it is local and conveniant to my work commute route.

Not to get all "You are doing it wrong" on you, but if you do not boil it you are missing out on a lot of the flavor and body that you get with homemade stock. Store-bought stock lacks the collagen that you get with homemade stock. Good homemade stock is rather "gloppy" and partially congealed when it is refrigerated. It adds a lot of texture and flavor to homemade stock that you are missing when you buy a carton. But, I usually use carton stock just because it is a lot more convenient.
I made Sopa de Ajo last night with store bought stock. Yummy. But it lacked a certain something that it would have had with homemade, boiled stock.

$9 for stock is highway robbery. I don't even think Wild Oats or Whole Foods has stock that expensive.

why do you think i make my own? ;-)

I think we'll agree to disagree on that one.
-
but not a lot of work, and it turns that box of premade stock from costing $9 to about $1:50 of materials
How big is this box? 32oz of stock at my local store costs on the order of $2-$3.

.... daaaang, i really gotta switch stores then. cause that's the size i can get wehre i shop, and if that's the price of soup stock then what else am i getting rooked on?

Yes, I really miss this. Not enough to make my own stock, mind you.

Get a pressure cooker. It massively cuts down on the amount of time it takes.

Used to have one. I don't really have a good place to store it now. Still probably wouldn't bother. YOLO

Hurrah for Discoquoting! Most authorities suggest that simmering is the proper method, and that boiling degrades the flavor and clarity. However, recommendations to use a pressure cooker seem to contradict this, as the whole point of a pressure cooker is to cook at a temperature even higher than normal boiling.
As for safety, even simmering is hot enough to kill bacteria (assuming you simmer long enough to heat all the way to the center of the pieces of meat and vegetable, which is generally a reasonable assumption).
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/08/24/dining/bending-the-rules-on-bacteria-and-food-safety.html?pagewanted=all (Note: This article is mostly about storing and reheating after cooking, but the following point is relevant here.)
Any active bacteria are killed by holding the stock for a minute at 150 degrees [Fahrenheit, just over 65°C] or above
Simmering is heating to just below boiling, say 90° - 95°C. This is certainly enough to kill the bacteria that cause food-borne illness. (Not so much if you've allowed the ingredients to sit in the "danger zone" long enough for the bacteria to breed and produce toxins; 10 minutes of boiling is required to destroy most, but not all, of the toxins.)

Shaws.
OMG. Funny story about them. I moved out of Boston in 2001. In like 2012, I was digging through the pantry looking for food and came across a box of, I dunno, let's say Lipton Cup O' Soup, and it had a Shaw's price tag on it. is the appropriate emoji. It had expired like ten years earlier, and been moved several times.

And here is a video of him installing a CBR600 engine in it. That Limey is crazier than a shithouse rat.

At Shaw's? Probably everything. Blakeyrat's probably-irrational hatred of Wal-Mart aside, one major reason I shop there is food is a lot cheaper, although the variety is limited.

possibly. i've never submitted a story there, but one might have been submitted about me.

Snort. It was anonymized well enough you'd never know. It was just someone talking on the phone saying "help me find my phone."

I had something similar happen to me once, without the strike. I had been drinking too much, my hands were sweaty and when I went bowled I was going to rocket it down the lane. My thumb created a vacuum in the socket and it came off with a loud POP! and drug me down the lane. As most people know, the lanes have oil on them and it was more than a little bit difficult for me to stand back up with the oil and a head full of shitty domestic beer...while the entire bowling alley was laughing at me.
Good thing I have thick skin and do not embarass easily.

I went to a similar chain in Michigan a few times when I lived there. The produce wasn't any better than Whole Foods, so I stopped. The only attraction of the place from what I could tell was being able to shop with other people who could afford to pay double the normal price for everything.
-

I refuse to go in to WalMart. It is not that much cheaper and it always takes a lot longer. It is only cheaper if your time is worthless.
Also, my blood pressure goes up when I go to check out and there are long lines and only 10% of the registers are open. God I hate that place.

I hate when people get in my way, so having half the clientele take up a full aisle width per person isn't exactly attractive.
-

That also!
I shop as much as I can at Costco. Good products and prices and wonderful service. Other than that, I live in a very nice area of our city...that is entirely surrounded by utter shit. My closest grocery stores are the types of places you go if you have a hankerin' for pickled pigs feet. Fortunately, my work frequently takes me to the suburbs where the "rich people's grocery stores" are at, so I combine work with shopping whenever possible.

Ahhh, I'm about to head out to Costco now. I normally do my daily shopping at Vons (Safeway).

I do my grocery shopping there, mostly. It is significantly cheaper than the alternatives, which are mainly Kroger and Tom Thumb, for me. YMMV.
Plus, robot lanes and/or shopping in the morning obviate much of the thing you're complaining about.
But these are more-or-less reasoned objections, not SJW spew.
