Status: I'm getting old.
Two days back my father in law parked his car slightly awkwardly. He had his trailer attached (just a small one: 2 by 1.2 metres), which is what caused the problem. To help him out I lifted the trailer from one side to the other so that it would be pointing in the right direction for him to start reversing.
Now my knee hurts. :-(

If it were me, I don't think I could have done the same, and if I managed to move it a lot more than just my knee would be hurting...

The browser vendors are becoming more and more brazen about shilling their crap. Both Microsoft and Google are guilty of that.
Mozilla on the other hand .... poor Mozilla.
After working for UI tuning for Chrome for a while, I found that I'm increasingly missing the days when Firefox is the choice of non-IE browsers.
-
@PleegWat It still works. I can confirm that because I have to use my Surface Pro 3 occasionally on places without internet.

I just updated. For being in Beta their release cycle is slower than Chrome Stable. FFS what is wrong with this picture?

@Tsaukpaetra if you have a null pointer and you dereference it, your code is unfit for production.
I've been thinking about creating a dialect of C++ where you have to prove to the compiler that a pointer can't be null before you dereference it (either as a precondition, a postcondition of the function that returned it, an invariant, or a null test) and that you wrote to some memory before you read that memory.

It is a very small trailer. And in some sense I am happy that it's at least not my back that is hurting.

If you consider all software with bugs to be unfit for production, then approximately 100% of software is unfit for production.

That's not Git's WC. That's someone else's WC that you're mailing Git's output to.

We can get line count with "git grep -c", unable to locate any method to find the word count information.

It's normal, especially if the reorganization takes a few months to plan, when by that time their list has already become outdated.

My ex-wife occasionally talked about getting reduction surgery, but I never had any issues handling them. They were, however, not very good at actually producing milk; both our kids had to be bottle-fed.

sure:

Also, INB4:
...isUserAnApe()

No, I meant the 'git for windows' package.

Status: In the aforementioned language I'm translating, spaces are important - not as they would be in Python, but rather
Something somethingElse^(variable)>
is equivalent to$"Something somethingElse{variable}"
in C#, and anything that isn't parsed as code is a string literal. This makes most tools available online for this stuff a bit useless. I've been rolling my own, and it's looking like a better idea as I go...
