Missed that line last night - a muscular, extremely clever hero? That would be a first in Hollywood at least! If I were you, I would trademark that idea ASAP./me thinks /me would fit, though. Perhaps not with the "muscular part", but still.

Status: Ranting about minimized JS and "clear" error messages.
Undefined is not a function. In line 6 of the minimized JS which consists of 20 lines of gibberish. Thanks!

In short, now I have a shell on it anyway. It's a simple form with one text input, but it's shell access...
I did that one some 15 years or so ago with my hoster, who at the time only offered ftp.I wrote a perl script that exec'ed whatever I chose to type into a commandline textbox and displayed the results. Worked well enough to bypass ftp limitations and enabled me to install ruby on the server. I just made a tarball of my local install, ftp'ed it up and untarred it from the perl "shell". Worked nicely with the full server-side path to the install in the shebang line.

Status: pissed because I can't find any sensible way to make a bit of logic work the proper way, since fucking Asterisk triggers a useful event, but won't give me enough info to reliably connect it with anything else.

Status: bathroom manglers day 4. Central heating system was emptied and refilled, and in the process taking out the internet.
I was looking forward to a productive day when other people in the room aren't slamming the desk when their current online game thingy they're playing doesn't go their way, along with growling, snarling, swearing and muttering.

You have internet access via your central heating system???

internet access via your central heating system
I bet that is a feature only found in the higher price range
-
The radiator they drained from is right next to the router and futzed with the cables in the process.

And probably comes with preinstalled steam.

And probably comes with preinstalled steam.
Don't tell GabeN, will you? It'll be an expensive addon for the SteamBox.
-
-
But does it come with a free crowbar?
I would consider the crowbar to be better placed as an "in app purchase", as everybody would like to have one.
-
Where can I download a crowbar off the internet?

oooh ... and then they can go TF2 on it and allow you to enhance your crowbar by adding a flamethrower thus removing the ability to open crates with it but now you can use it to start the your BBQ.Disclaimer: BBQ not included. BBQ only available through the Steam BBQ Summer event

That wouldn't be right. No, the flame thrower capability should come on top of that crate opening capability. And other capabilities should be addable as well. This crowbar should be the swiss army knife of crowbars!Filed under: once you've forked out enough money, that is

here, apperantly...
Does anybody have a torrent or a different mirror for the crowbar? This link is taking forever.

Los Dollors (i.e., Doyers, for those who can't read Mexican). For the record, hating the Giants and Yankees is simply part of being a proper Dodgers fan (I grew up in SoCal). I had a college roommate who was super duper obnoxious about the Red Sox and the Cowboys, so of course I hate them both.
I've been to a few Dodgers games here at Petco. It's funny because there are more Dodgers fans than Padres fans there.

Was it the Jeff podcast?

He lives in NY. Close enough, I think.

Status: Wondering why people want backlit keyboards at all - I really dislike any light shining from below, not just at computer, but everywhere.

I mostly agree with you. When I've been in the dark, I wouldn't mind being able to turn it on briefly sometimes when I needed to use a key I don't have stored in muscle memory (like a function key).

The only button you should have to have muscle memorized is the key light toggle button.

I quite like my backlit keyboard, especially when it's hot and I turn the lights off at night. There is something about coding in the dark I approve of.
-
My new keyboard is a TT Esports Poseidon with blue mechanical switches. I'd love the backlight except it flickers really badly when seen from the edge of my vision. The light can be turned off so it's off 95% of the time. (My best guess is the backlight brightness is controlled via pulse-width modulation, and I'm sensitive enough to flicker to actually perceive it.)

Get a blank keyboard. You'll have all keys memorized in 2 weeks at most.
