Could you capitalise my name? I keep not bothering when I sign up to things then it starts to annoy me when I keep seeing it. Also, it shouldn't break any mentions
As a bonus WTF, I promise to change my avatar to a lower case J

as promised, a comic sans lowercase J with colours changed in Paint

Very nice...

Discourse, as always awesome about updated avatars.

There is rational here, but there's lots of irrational, too. (Cf., first and foremost, of course, Discourse; also, @blakeyrat, @ben_lubar, the likes topic, discobutt, assorted flame wars, etc.) However, what I meant was more along the lines of "rational behavior is probably a barrier to spending enough time on TDWTF to be ranked higher than the top 95%, much less the top 5%."
Yes, there's little rational in my brain which possibly explains how come I happen to be the most prevalent poster here...

Status: I'm supposed to be planning the next stage of my primary project. Instead, I just spent half an hour watching people pull stuff out of their ears on /r/popping. What am I doing with my life?

I'm fairly certain I can do it for you (the interface suggests I can). It'll break any @mentions however.
I think I might have, like, 2 of those, so no big loss.
Hm. Lets see... @nullptr would work. I'm not all that clever when it comes to screen names. :)

PM me with your final decision. I'll be near a keyboard for the next 10 minutes or so.

"Please refer to section 2.2.3.1.2"
1: The spec ends at 2.1.5
2: a.b.c.d.e.f? Really? It's not even a massive project, just a PM who thinks she's more important than she really is

But if you drop out, I can get back in. (Bugger off, Dicsores. Replying to several posts at once is also a barrier to getting back into the 5% club.)
As someone reminded me earlier, posting in the status thread is not conducive to getting into/staying in the 5% club.

I would like this, but I'm out, so have a + (because is not a printable character) instead.
One of mine would be on me; the other would be cuddled next to me.

Would like, but I'm out. Have a +1.

I don't want to know. Seriously, Do. Not. Want. To. Know.

You hear me, universe? You and I know how this is going to go down now. Time to play your part in this three act play, to make your entrance and your exit on cue. I have my part to play, it just needs you to play your part and give me my cue to make this be what it should... what it needs to be.

Except that, as I just noticed in my notifications, I'm back in. I wonder who I bumped out. Obviously, there's no "cooling-off period" as there is for TLs.

Status: today will be better than yesterday. Also I cut my hair.

Can't go wrong there. I also suggest having a beer while Kerbaling.

I just bought a used wii. Plugged everything in.
Of course, had to replace used up batteries in the remote. Whatever, expected when buying used.
Inserted Mario Kart. Turned it on. Hmm, ok, I can switch between the screens but none of the other buttons work. Can't select the game, can't activate anything,
FUCK! Broken piece of garbage!
As I'm throwing everything back into the box, so I can return it, I notice one more thing in the bottom.
"Hmm, I wonder what this plastic stick is for... look, and it has a cable too, with the matching connector on the console -oh"
I'm not a smart man.
-
Btw Mario Kart sucks. Whats the point of having a wiimote, when you have to use the stupid little joystick to control the vehicle?
-
have to
I'm pretty sure you can use the Wii-mote to steer and control, considering they had a peripheral you could get that was a wheel you'd put the Wii-mote into.
Using the nunchuck (or the classic controller, or a GameCube controller) is just an alternative control mode, for people who like controlling it like they did on Mario Kart 64 or Double Dash.
-
Mario Kart Wii is far from the best part of the series, though. And playing motorcycles properly with the classic controller is pretty impossible iirc.
-
I wouldn't know. I don't own it, and only played it once with the Wii-mote only without a wheel. Actually, I haven't played very much of any of the Mario Kart series.

You don't have to use the joystick. You can use the WiiMote, you dummy. That's why Mario Kart comes with a wheel adapter for the WiiMote.

WELL IT DIDNT WORK FOR ME
-
Left to go get a snack. Realized I needed some time off, and took lunch instead.
sigh
-
WORK IT HARDER.
Although, using the wiimote with a plastic wheel always felt too silly for me.Btw, you did not mistakenly set the bar to be above/below in the settings when it's physically below/above, right?

Anybody have any experience with that NVidia thing?
http://shield.nvidia.com/images/gallery/shield-front-open-bloodsword.jpg
It seems like exactly what I'm looking for, being a device powerful enough to emulate most consoles, while also coming with a controller. But I'd rather get some first-hand info before dumping $250 + import and shipping fees...
(also, where the hell can I get one reliably, since my God-forsaken country only gets the tablet, for which I have almost zero use?)

Yip dogs, I buttume?
Two are smallish terriers but they aren't really yippy. The most affectionate one is the red cattle dog; he's the first one over.

Entirely the wrong thing if you're reading posts there. Eeww.
