Thieve's Guild quest in Skyrim
Having never really played Skyrim, I want to hear more about this. It sounds pretty amusingly absurd. Or just a video would suffice, if you don't want to rant about it.

I think at one point
you get shot by the person saving you from the person you went there to murder the first instance of "person" in this sentence with
.

Status: Shutout.
Also: Bought a used phone last week. Received it Thursday. Now (really yesterday):
-
Is that a photo of you taking a photo of a phone with a phone?
-
So you need to flash it?
Good luck, it looks like the baseband files have been erased, you're not likely going to get it to connect to a mobile network (unless you can find the required data)...
-
Sorta hard to take a screenshot of fastboot.
-
?
No.
Maybe I should have circled the third line from the bottom. I am happy.
Maybe it would help more to state that this is a Motorola phone ;)
-
How does it feel to have a cell phone with more RAM than the server I write all my Go code on?
-
How does it feel to have a server with only 2GB of RAM?
I like the battery life. Maybe I can have Waze on and not have a drained battery by the time I get to my destination now, even when it was connected to a charger.
-
It's also running Docker with NodeBB and Discourse in it. I have to restart them a lot because Discourse likes to leak all of the physical RAM and then start swapping a lot, even though it's been in read-only mode for weeks.
-
Try browsing Discourse and then talk about battery life.

What is the server? Is it something you have at your house, or is it a cloud VPS, or...?
-
No.

something you have at your house
Yep. /proc/cpuinfo says this:

With clock doubling? Maybe. CPUs have got pretty crazy complicated inside over the past 20 yearsβ¦
-
Congrats on having an unlockable bootloader
My Note 3 was a complete pain to open up. I had to trip the KNOX flag so no warranty and then the thing spent a day with the IMEI reading 'null/null' and Baseband 'unknown' until I read enough of XDA-Developers to recover it.
Putting Marshmallow on it?

Or it's scaled the clock speed down as it's not being fully utilised?
-
I don't know how your shitty broken Linux shitty commands work, but you do know that computers can change their CPU speed in real-time, right? It's a power saving feature.

Play some Dwarf Fortress. That'll help.

Only if you can then get out 3 hours earlier.

TIL 2.93GHz is the same as 1600.000 MHz
It probably was scaled down to save power and reduce heat. 2.93 GHz is the fastest it can run, but it usually will be running slower unless it was under stress. See: https://wiki.debian.org/HowTo/CpuFrequencyScaling
Edit: 'd twice

that would explain why my 3.3GHz i7 is often found to be running at 700MHz when i'm not gaming on it...
-
? That sounds reasonable to me. My hexacore AMD runs around 600-800 MHz when sitting idly at my desktop.

Phenom x2? that was a good processor. my previous box had one of those. I should ask tanner what he ended up using her for, i know she didn't become his gaming rig since he built the new box.
-
Phenom x2?
hexacore
Phenom II X6 1090T
It is a good processor. I need to upgrade soon though so I can take full advantage of my newer GPU (R9 280).

"OK sir could you (insert diagnostics that rely on the OS)?"
It says 'Hard drive failed, error code 123456'
"Ooo, that's not on my list. I guess I'll send you a new hard drive"
Related, This site really REALLY makes me want to write my own forum software. I think i'll start looking in to that...
I started doing that, realized I didn't want to, and installed phpBB.
Status: the office building's fire alarm just went off. A cow-orker didn't bother leaving. Good thing for her the FD didn't bother verifying compliance.
Dude, you could have set her on fire, and no one would have known! Opportunity: missed.

I agree with you that the story is quite better on New Vegas (which I already played like 4 times) but the desolation of Fallout 3 is IMO much better. New Vegas is more crowded and it seems everything is too much in the open. That feeling when you first get out of vault 101 is very different of leaving the Goodspring's doctor home. Another thing I hated about New Vegas was all those Deathclaws and the stupid Cazador (really hate those little motherfuckers). At least on Fallout 3 you know where the Deathclaws are and how to stay away from those areas.
Anyway, I want to play Fallout 4!!!

Yeah I'm thinking of upgrading my Phenom II X4 965 soon.

I'm going to assume this was not a typo, but deliberate, because it's funnier that way.

Ben, don't you have a paper route or something? Just buy some more RAM.

With clock doubling? Maybe.
No, obviously 2.93GHz is the top speed and it was running at 1.6GHz when he took that snapshot.

Note 3 [...] trip the KNOX flag so no warranty
I thought you could use ODIN or something to unflip that flag. Supposedly you could for the Note II anyway...
