It's not just the UI, its also the text rendering engine. It makes text have that Apple blur!

Not Found The requested URL /features.html was not found on this server.
That was a link I clicked on a working-looking website btw.
Or use the actual website, http://www.fenrir-inc.com/us/sleipnir/
Mind telling Google that?
The one you linked to is 3rd result. After Wikipedia.
-
Now I'm curious; going to try it out again and see if discourse breaks it!
-
Now that we're all talking about weird Japanese browsers - does Lunascape still exist?
-
That Engrish though.
-
It's so weird!
-
Seriously, this thing has some nice features! If they add extensions and Node doesn't keel over with my standard usage I'm willing to use it proper. But without at least Stylish[1] and *
something
*Monkey[2] around, no dice.
[1] - This was actually a built-in feature in old Opera IIRC
[2] - Was this too? My memory is dodgy there.
-
But without at least Stylish[1] and somethingMonkey[2] around, no dice.
It's... Chrome...
-
It's... Chrome...
What, Vivaldi? Basically, yes. Could I cram the extensions in somehow? Maybe. Do I feel like poking around it? Not really.
-
In the end, all you have is Firefox, Chrome, and Edge. Everything else is still one of them.
-
-
You didnt cross out Edge and put in Trident? I'm shocked at you. Shocked.
-
Yes... But Vivaldi has proper tab grouping, non-broken Speed Dial (without extension), mouse gestures and some customization options that the rest don't.
They said they are pretty much remaking Opera 12 and they weren't kidding.
-
You didnt cross out Edge and put in Trident?
Yes I did.No, it wasn't an edit.
*makes cute eyes*

Back on topic:
Status: Really want to work on some stuff. But I only slept for like 2 hours last night, and worked overtime. So tired. Much yawning. Wow.
-
The Spartan rendering engine (edgehtml.dll) is a new component and separate from Trident (mshtml.dll).
-
Muahahaha!
Er, I mean, A dark wind howls...
...one of you is about to die.

Status: Trying to figure out how to query for the superset of these:
Everything that takes an
appid
parameter wants an int32, andsc_310832
doesn't fit in an int32 in any encoding I know of.
-
Maybe strip the
sc_
?
-
Nope, that just gives me a completely unrelated program.
Normal appids look like
630
(Alien Swarm) or34900
(@blakeyrat's favorite game ever). I'm assuming thesc_
means "Steam Community".

Status: Starting to understand sleipnir:
It's got sort of tab folder things. Which seems kind of cool?
-
Speed Dial clone #76382?
Yes, I'm pining for days when Opera was innovative and awesome today. I'll get over it soon. Probably.
-
I didn't really use opera, but that's a nice enough feature. I don't fully get why you'd do it, but it might be nice to have several tab configurations saved?.
-
339800 looks fun.

I liked when I saw TotalBiscuit play it, because his wife begged him to, after beating it herself. He concluded that it was designed for women.
-
Oh, is that actually a session manager? Maybe I misunderstood? Yeah, a certain browser had that too, before it got gutted in order to stick BlinkKit into it because... they didn't want to work on Presto any more?
And the worst thing to lose is still Dragonfly. Damn it, that thing was so nice to use! Chrome's dev tools are much better now than they used to be, and FF is catching up, but I still miss how clean and efficient Dragonfly was. At least in my head. Dunno, might be the nostalgia glasses.
-
Oh, is that actually a session manager?
I think so... You have these colored sections on the top, and by selecting one, you enter it's set of tabs. I haven't looked into it much, though.
-
Valves API? Worst.

Status: UPS for our on site server room just crashed hard. After near failures last year it has been on a quarterly maintenance cycle, so it is actually being taken care of. Unfortunately, the server room is hard wired to route all power through the UPS, so no temporary workaround is possible.
We are down for the day.

>Taylor, who believes the firm is the only one in the world to offer proper employment opportunities to fellow naturists, is now looking for ‘lots of very attractive, nude young girls – 20-39’, who he warns should be practising naturists, to sell its software.
I hope this man does well.

Discouregression: The return of a bug that had previously been fixed.
No, that's just a regression. It's defined as a Jeffgression IIRC. Which I might not.

I always try to point out when Eclipse or Firefox get something right for once!
So never? Especially if it's Firefox?
-
It's defined as a Jeffgression IIRC. Which I might not.
Discopædia says no:
Of course, Discosearch does leave some room for doubt…
-
Get out of my thread if you want to post that shit.
-
I think Discosearch is right in this instance. I remembered wrong. Oh well.

Status: Wondering why I'm getting a browser notification about a post I just saw pop up on the screen in front of me because I'm reading that fucking topic!
-
According to dicsource, it's @faoileag's thread?
-
Same reason @Dischorse shows the notification as new for ages after you've seen the post?
-
And now the status I was going to post before that happened…
Status: Wondering why animators put ears on top of a character's head, then have that character block her hearing by putting her hands on the sides of her head

Status: Was in an Italian restaurant, asked the (Italian) waiter if they accept American Express. He excitedly responds "Yeah yeah, American Express". Then brings me an "Americano" coffee with an extra espresso shot 5 minutes later.
Turns out they don't take AMEX

Yes, like I said. My comment wasn't based on the character being Amy.

BTW the "..." only exists because a new line broke the quoting.

-
Wow that's lazy.
Probably because the covering up ears pose comes from a pre-saved skeleton pose. And lazy.
Or pink lady Sonic is an idiot.
Oh noes all of DeviantArt is going to murder you now!
When I was a kid, there were never animation errors! Oh. Except sometimes the $0.13 cent a day Bangladeshi animators of Super Friends forgot that Batman couldn't fly.
-
Animation errors? That scene probably cost at least $100 dollars to make and hours to render.
