Maybe reading about cats being immune?
Could be... I haven't read that thread and I can't find it right now, because a minor Discurse rant is coming up.

That reminds me of some stupid WTFs from my time on the bottling line at Ninkasi. There was an long standing problem with fills and gas mixtures in the bottles, and after a lot of QC, I finally figured out that there were nucleation sites on the inside of some bottles, and they were causing the "apparent" low fills.
Cue meathead getting butt hurt because I called them "nucleation sites" instead of "nucleuses" and he didn't know what I was talking about.
Meathead got more and more resentful, started sabotaging his own equipment to make me look bad (since I was responsible for QC...). Ultimately picked a fight. Middle management didn't care. I got canned.
From what I hear, nobody on the bottling line cares about quality anymore. And why would they? All the rah-rah quality talk went down the drain when they hired an ignorant schmuck to manage the bottling line.
-
Glad that I chose Acoustic instead of Ninkasi at brunch yesterday.
-
It's really too bad. Everybody on the bottling line, except for meathead and ignorant schmuck, were really cool, good workers, and cared. But then ignorant schmuck decided to make an example out of me and another guy who stood of up to meathead for quality.

The bar I went to yesterday does an event every third Tuesday of the month called "Chicks for Beer." They have a brewery on tap, and it's a women-only event. They have breweries like Green Flash, Firestone Walker, etc. Last week, it was Ninkasi. They also keep the brews on tap for a month, hence why I could have gotten so many yesterday. My wife forgot to buy a ticket for the event, but her friends went. I wonder how many of them will live.
-
If they had Tricerahops or Critical Hit on tap, I'd guess 0.
-
According to their website, it's Believer Double Red, Lux Helles Lager, Maiden The Shade, and Vanilla Oatis.
-
Oh, I really like Maiden the Shade. Vanilla Oatis is pretty good too, though of course, it's a "spiced beer".
I don't see how they managed to make Helles Belles any lighter. "Lux is light. Get it?"

Going home, because I've got stuff to do, and it would be pointless to stay here much longer; they're going to be shutting off Internet access in a few minutes for some kind of router maintenance or something. Stopping to buy dog food, and maybe browse the used book store, on my way home.

Ticket came in yesterday, I'm still laughing at it.

Company-handling department sets client to type Y.New record, a few days later, process isn't working again.
User verified with company-handling department that client is not type X.
Turns out company is type Z.

Wondering how long it will take my new avatar to appear in certain places.
See it now, but what is it? Can't you switch on the light in the room?
-
It's an extremely dark-red pointy thing on a black background with salt sprinkled on it. Or maybe a really dense Blake's 7-style starmap.
This is why selecting an avatar is difficult.
EDIT: is that Talyn from Farscape?
