@Zerosquare I'm so done going anywhere. Just woke up after 12 hours of sleep. Still haven't gotten out of bed, because the room is cold. Plans for today... Uh.... Plans? What are those?

I don't know what that is but I'm also excited.
status I've joined the iPhone cult. I can see why their devotees are rabid. Finding alternatives for my apps is proving to be quite the chore. Getting retroarch onto the thing is going to be a bitch.
*edit I don't know why but everything about it screams extravagant business expense. Not consumer friendly entertainment device.

@DogsB It's an IDE and ROM flasher for the 8-bit Nintendo.

It's been years since I switched but I don't remember it being particularly difficult.

I figured out how to jump (up arrow). Couldn't go up anywhere. Managed to drop 2 levels and get stabbed by a sword.

Vivaldi replacement but I'm going to try firefox for a while. Its just the effort to find new apps to fill a function that I had for years on Android. A lot of my apps came over but Iâm missing my calendar app and widgets so I just need to try them until I find a good replacement on iOS. I need to find a good music player and video player too.

There's an App for Thatâ˘

Firefox is the best, but they're all reskinned Webkit anyway

The built-in calendar widgets work fine IME
@DogsB said in The Official Status Thread:

Music is fine unless you're using weird formats like FLAC which AFAIK the iPhone does support but Music doesn't for reasons
@DogsB said in The Official Status Thread:
video player too.
VLC, same answer as for any other OS

@loopback0 thanks. Iâll give them a go.

I am getting better at it. I've now reached level 4 fairly easily (damn the skeleton on level 3 though) before the game somehow managed to lock up as I was simply running on a stretch of solid floor.
Guess it's time to start "work" :]

There are 3 things wrong with this port.
- Itâs using the DOS graphics, other ports had better graphics.
- Itâs unauthorised and could be taken down by the copyright holder.
- The copyright is held by Ubisoft who should just allow it but wonât.

To me, the annoying thing is having to redirect back to the auth server every hour to refresh the token.

Isn't the server supposed to be able to just do that directly once it has the token (and matching refresh token)?
-
@Tsaukpaetra Depends on the workflows, I guess.
Not to mention how frequently a refresh token expires
-
@Zecc said in The Official Status Thread:

The refresh token shouldn't expire unless the user has revoked their token (or had it revoked)...
-

Someone/thing is failing to do the needful. Or doing a wrongful. Sometimes I forget that I've signed into some sites with Google and not a username/password...

There wasn't anything about that in the API docs I got linked. I'll try to remember to have another peek when I'm working again next week.

Get rid of it together with the packaging of your new TV:
place the old TV in the new packaging, and leave it outside, and wait...
Then imagine the thief's face when he opens it.

@BernieTheBernie I'm not in the US, they only steal bikes here.
-
@PleegWat Grown-up OAuth2 clients should be able to exchange a previously-valid-but-expired token for a new one without bothering the user every time because that would honestly suck otherwise.
In my case I'm working with Discord whose token validity is 1 week and I don't actually need to renew the user's session with Discord that often - once they've authenticated and got a logged-in session with my app, they only need re-authenticate with upstream before doing privileged actions as far as I'm concerned (as in, the same scenarios a user with a password would be required to reauthenticate)
-
@Arantor said in The Official Status Thread:

Hold up. Isn't it the case that there is a separate, longer-living but more seldomly used, token than the one used for request authentication, used solely for the purpose of refreshing said token?
Or maybe it again depends on flow being used.
-
@Zecc There can be, yes. As you say it depends on which flow you use and also which provider you happen to be dealing with as to what they do because despite being a standard for authentication, a whole heap of shite was borged into the spec for authorisation too.
Frankly there are times I'd rather have OAuth1 with all its idiosyncrasies (like you must have the parameters in the right order when you do your signing) than OAuth2.
-
@Arantor said in The Official Status Thread:
(like you must have the parameters in the right order when you do your signing)
I feel like that's a hashing problem...
-
@Zecc IIRC, I get a one-time code and then I need to call a function to convert that into a JWT token. The code really is one-time. I haven't seen any other ways to refresh the JWT token but I haven't really looked.
-
@PleegWat said in The Official Status Thread:

Yeah odd, it should include both in that response... A token for the user, and a token for the refresh.
-
@Tsaukpaetra So for OAuth1 spec, you have a bunch of parameters that you're passing to the OAuth1 identity provider, and one of the parameters is a hash of all the others, concatenated. The trick is making sure the order of the others is the correct one so the hash is correct.
It's not difficult, but it is annoying.

I liked Cruisin' USA. This iteration has some load time problems. It was annoying listening to cruisin' let's go repeated for a minute before and after every race. Doesn't seem to be much to it either...it's all flash and no substance. Wait for it to hit $20.
