It's beginning to look like I might need to (*gasp*) buy something!
Edit: I could have sworn I had lubricant of the right type around here somewhere....

Status: Iced tea is frozen into a solid block of ice and is, therefore, undrinkable. I want to melt it without heating it above freezing (ideally, there should still be some ice left in it after it has reached drinkable liquidity), but there is a metal spoon frozen into the block of ice, so I can't thaw it in the microwave.
Solution: (In progress) Set the mug of teacicle behind my old desktop and started a 4K animation render.

Not a problem. It can't arc through the ice. Just be quick on the stop.

You may accidentally have made the problem worse instead of better (INB4 ). Some amount of friction between the ball and the roller is needed, otherwise you can get the "wheel on icy road" effect.

I actually need wheel-on-icy-road effect.
Optimally, the ball should spin if released while still having angular momentum.
It currently... does not.

Are there rollers? Is this a trackball, or a ballistic mouse?

Apparently, Michelle's real name is Karen. She does have the Karen haircut and she does behave like one, too. Rockstar have predicted the meme 12 years earlier.

Tea is mostly liquid at melting point of impure water (slightly less than 0°C), with a smallish chunk of solid impure water. ETA: Render terminated. I didn't actually want the render results; I just wanted to make the computer expend effort on something.

To be fair, he was also (presumably) under the same misunderstanding. Just the first one to respond, really.
Though I'm fearful of why everyone didn't think twice about why I might be lubricating mouse balls to begin with, and in what possible ways that might make any sense in comparison with doing the literal opposite...

You're the ones with the dirty minds then, and need cleaning!
I have something for that, by the way. It sadly is not useful for my particular solution though.

Boy do I have something to tell mother next exercise day!

@Zerosquare No, I just loaded an existing file and told Blender to render it. It got through about 9 or 10 frames of the animation (@30 fps, so about 1/3 of a second), and nothing visible was even moving yet.

Status: I hope the mosquitos around here don't carry malaria, yellow fever, or other mosquito-borne diseases. Because if they do, I now have them all, and maybe a few that haven't been discovered, yet.
They're small, but they're vicious. Being small and quiet, it's hard to notice them until the damage is already done.

@HardwareGeek I'm not wearing blackface; we all know that's unacceptable these days, but what about black hands, or knees, or feet, or shirts?
I was airbrushing model building parts with black paint. At one point, I was holding one up to the light to see whether I had enough paint on it to make it opaque. And that would have been fine, but then I decided to paint it while I was holding it up, so I could see how much paint I was putting on it. But I held it just a little to high, and dumped the paint out of the airbrush onto my knee, foot, and shirt — and my hands, but they were already covered with paint, anyway.
Incidentally, this is also how I acquired approximately 57000 mosquito bites. I was painting until it got too dark to see what I was doing, and until I got too mosquito-bite itchy. I could have put on long pants and a long-sleeve shirt, which would have helped, but it was 90°F out there (and felt like almost 90°C), and that's too hot for long pants and long sleeves.

Came to work this morning, and the first thing I notice is that my keyboard is dead. I move it from the dock to a direct port, and I hear the sound of it registering. But no lights, and keypresses are not registered. Weird. Then I notice that my dock is not charging the laptop. Double weird. I trace the powerlessness, and come to the RCD on the wall socket. It's dead. I mean, it won't hold for a second, even without load. Double weird.
I bypass that RCD (I had 2 of them), and everything is powered up now. The keyboard is still dead though.
So I've got a dead keyboard and a dead RCD. Them dying the same night of completely unrelated causes seems a little far-fetched. But the dock and everything else connected still works. So happened?

I have maintained said blue ball, because that will make the unit unique (apparently it comes with black or red balls nominally).

New mailbox looked like it was the same as the old mailbox. It's actually an inch narrower. So now it doesn't fit on the post without a mounting block (Sold Separately ). Thinking now that, since I wasted time and money anyway, I might as well buy a fancier mailbox on the next trip to Home Depot.
That's why I buy everything non-perishable exclusively on Amazon Prime. I don't trust myself just as much as I don't trust the seller.

Check the configuration to make sure you're logging to the AppInsights instance you think you are?
Not using app insights, it's logging to Kibana
