Which reproductive system does that remind you of?

dwarfs are tasty after all.
I've never tasted dwarf. They're ok for a fox, but I think it would probably count as cannibalism for a human. Or kinky. Some people are into that, but not me.
-
And why does Discourse think I posted this 8 discominutes ago, when I just submitted it?
Answer 1: Because it's discourse and discominutes do not have any correlation to real minutes.
Answer 2: It appears that the JSON data sent from the server includes the posted date. The client side code then uses that to calculate the age of the post. Obviously, any differences between client time and server time would cause issues calculating post age.

I always think of that when looking at video of something or someone. If you look at a single frame, it's often very difficult to see who it is, yet if you look at the whole sequence, you can see very clearly what's going on and can easily distinguish identities. It's all based on the fact that the human visual system (particularly the part of the brain that does the processing) already does all this stochastic analysis stuff. Which is awesome.
I always think of this at the eye doctor, when I can definitely see the little letters better with both (uncorrected) eyes than with one alone.

I'll take
dooranswer #1.However, answer #2 is probably correct. I synced this POS with time.nist.gov yesterday, and just now it was 5 minutes fast.

I know where I came from—but where did all you zombies come from?
I felt a headache coming on, but a headache powder is one thing I do not take. I did once—and you all went away.
So I crawled into bed and whistled out the light.
You aren’t really there at all. There isn’t anybody but me—Jane—here alone in the dark.
I miss you dreadfully!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCyYsZ3KsQE
This was far better than I expected it to be.
-
Well, damn, it got blocked. Here's a different link.
-
anyone want to lay book on how long that link is going to last?
-
Nope. So go watch it before it disappears!
-
Men. I am me lazy.
-
Men
*raises eyebrow*
WATCH IT. You will not be sorry.
Well, I mean, you might stay up til 2 AM and then get in a car accident tomorrow because you drove poorly from being tired. Don't do that.
Seriously. For me to actively recommend a movie and say it's good, is something. I hate most of the drek Hollywood puts out. This isn't drek.
-
If only it were possible to download a youtube link so you can watch it later...
-
it is, but if you were going to do that you should just torrent it.
Oh, wait, you were trolling for a whoosh. @Accalia did say she hung up her eye patch.
-
-
It was supposed to be "meh"
LOL. Of course it was.
That's why you always should double-check before you hit Reply or Send.
Unless you like collecting spellah badgahs.
-
spellah badgahs.
i don't have one of those (at least last i checked)
i do seem to have more woosh badges than i know what to do with though. think i can give some away?
-
Unless you like collecting spellah badgahs.
Those go to the corrector, not the one committing the offense.
-

Oh yeah. Well, the correct thing for you and at least two other people to do would be to flag me for the touched in the head badge.
-
But that one's not voted for. Read the description.

As @aliceif said:
-
It is my aim to get 23 of those so I have all of Eris' apples
-
it is, but if you were going to do that you should just torrent it.
Oh, wait, you were trolling for a whoosh.
I was really just saying that, hypothetically speaking, of course, the video you posted is right there, and had I right-clicked on it to extract the URL, then googled "download youtube video" and clicked on one of the top three links and fed the URL into it, then the video would've downloaded in under 10 minutes and I wouldn't have needed to go off searching for a corresponding torrent file.
But hypothetically, because it would probably have been illegal in some states and void in Nebraska to have done that.
-
But that one's not voted for. Read the description.
No, but votes might convince the mods to have the whim to bestow it.
-
Well, sure, but you already knew you could get the URL, hence my accusation of whoosh-tr{aw,ol}ling.
-
I see. Did you know that I knew that I could get the URL though? ;<qv>P
-
I see. Did you know that I knew that I could get the URL though? ;P
Since I can't see inside your head, I can't really know it for sure, but yes, I did know you knew. That's why I accused you of trolling for whooshes.
-
Educated guesswork is educated.
Since I can't see inside your head
This is a relief to me.
-
This is a relief to me.
Of course, with trepanning tools and X-rays, I could see inside your head.
-
Of course, with trepanning tools and X-rays, I could see inside your head.
Now I am unrelieved again.

Now I am unrelieved again.
Well, that doesn't mean I'm going to.
Also, nobody likes
What the hell is a :tanabata_tree: ?

I knew someone would take my question non-rhetorically.

That's why you asked it, isn't it?
-
That's why you asked it, isn't it?
Well, I was kind of wondering who wouldn't be able to resist the temptation.
-
-
Yes, thank you, I was aware of that, having read his post.
-
-
nope, but it is suggested by discoduck
I could flag you for whoosh, you know. But it occurs to me that @tar might possibly not have known what I meant, either. I take it you didn't see the recent Doctor Who Christmas special?
-
I take it you didn't see the recent Doctor Who Christmas special?
which doctor? i'm working my way through the 6th right now.
-
which doctor? i'm working my way through the 6th right now.
"Recent" implied "Capaldi" since the next-most-recent was a year ago.
How are you watching them? I rewatched most of Seven via DailyMotion, but their window size sucks.
-
AVI via home VCR.
terrible quality, but the commercials are funny!
-
commercials
Where were these recorded from? I saw all my classic Who back in the day on PBS, so of course there were no commercials. Except for the [fucktard][1] who always did the voiceover that kept me from hearing the ending theme.
[1] I was going to try to euphemise to minister to your tender sensibilities, but that annoyed me so much back in the day that the euphemism was still a naughty word.
-
recent Doctor Who Christmas special?
I haven't seen that. I was just using because I saw other people using , and I wanted to be part of the ingroup.
-
And further to the above, .
-
Heh. I knew that had to be the other explanation.
The joke is just that Santa's[2] in the episode (not a spoiler, he was in the trailer) and at the beginning a couple of elves are talking about how he always leaves tangerines with his other presents[1] and the elves think its' stupid because nobody likes tangerines, and later the Doctor says the same thing.
[1] Is leaving a tangerine some kind of English thing?
[2] Nick Frost, which cracked me up once I looked up who the actor was on IMDB.
-
not sure. found them in the garrage of my uncle a few years ago.... digitized them and recently got around to watching.
