Less than 24 hours and I already created an XSS exploit for Intercourse

There should be a law against the ridiculously high availability of guns to soldiers.
Look, I'm just saying we need to give trench warfare a chance. I think digging ourselves in and surrounding ourselves with barbed wire is the only way we'll break this stalemate.

I want to make a forum modeled after the Git branching model, just to give Blakey conniptions.
Let's start a Subversion repo where each topic/thread is its own text file and each revision is a post.

I considered proposing a Google Doc we all have rights to edit, but I think that the usability would be too high.

Yeah Google Docs has pretty high usability. Why don't we print out the current topics and mail them to each other when we want to read or make posts (by writing on the paper).

How about an interactive Excel VBA application?

Guys, the solution is obvious: Pastebin. We just continually modify a flat text file. We'll get versioning, and none of that icky Markdown stuff.

Better yet--JS fiddles. Then we can get a full history (so we can see what's been edited) and it's be easier to XSS.

That's dumb. You left out the wooden table.

Oh sorry, my bad.

I have no idea what JS fiddles is, but if it's simple to XSS that'll be an easy sell to the users here.

It's when you fiddle with yourself while writing JavaScript.

Sorry, not interested. I'm not a JavaScript fetishist. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
-
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
Yes there is. Fetishizing any language which uses object prototyping is just sick. Why can't you stick to traditional inheritance, you filthy pervert?!

Fax. TDWTF Towers can set up a fax machine farm, and we all receive faxed copies of the entire thread (continuous scrolling on actual ink, none of yer fancy e-ink bollocks).
We can then annotate / add our own comments, fax back to TDWTF Towers and the fax farm broadcasts it back out to all users.
And lo, it's also a distributed, load-balanced, fault-tolerant solution because every user has a complete copy of the repository. Oh! And it's no-sql, so it's very 2011!

Actually the entire idea of fighting a war with guns is ridiculous. Why cant' they fight online like all internet forum users do?

It'll be like that time we found an unsecured printer admin panel that allowed remote printing!
Oh, wait, no. That happened on the old forums, so it's dead to us now.

It would violate the Geneva Convention.

Not minding the surrounding with barbed wire part and sitting in hole, but someone need to make sure that there's pizza delivery happening. Also I want hot tandoor paneer pizza with Thums-Up every 3 hours.

Because we expect actual wars to have some effect on the real world and to end.

Also they get Godwin'd too fast.

Star Trek already figured this stuff out decades ago!

My kingdom for a serif!
EDIT: Ooh fun! font changes don't carry across quotes. I'm sure I just repeated something others have already noted...

Agreed. The world would be a better place if we all used Garamond.

It would certainly be less Grotesque.

Theword would be a better place if we all used Garamond.Would you also suggest everybody speak English all over the world?

It doesn't show up if you're replying to the post directly above yours. Hence, good ol' dhromy hates Ben L. You might say that Ben is getting on his nervous system.
So should he start a course of antibiotics then?

Hell no. How would I know who the cultural elites are if everyone spoke English? Plus, subjugation is much easier on the psyche when you can't understand the other guy's plaintive cries for mercy.
Morbs might disagree with me on that last point.

Occidental mind is simple, but dangerous.
