Why is there a but no :right_luggage:?
It's easier to find luggage than's been left than the right luggage.

To me as a kid that song was called Oh Nylon.

I'm not planning on going to heaven, partly because I don't believe such a thing exists but if it does, down there is far more interesting.
I'd rather kick it with Sagan and Hitch than with a pope, that's for sure!
And yes Dicksores, I'm reviving this. BECAUSE!

Good thing, too. I was planning on making sure this was bumped today. Got to make sure to occasionally voice my lack of confidence in Alex's choice of forum software.
-
justy like i have to occasionally reiterate how much fun i'm having with it!
-
Dung beetles seem to have lots of fun too. Doesn't change the fact that they are playing with shit.
Disclaimer: I have nothing against dung beetles, dung beetles are cool. Not an insult.
-
I wonder what it would take to modify @discoursebot to cross-post in here every time someone summons him? We could keep this topic at the top very easily.
-
@Intercourse - Days Since Last Discourse Bug: 0
-
.... lets file that under "bad idea" shall we?
-
hey! i like this pile of [excrement]! it's like home to me!.... wow that got dark.... never mind.... eww...

Is the site unresponsive for anyone else every couple of hours?
Discoursebot feature request:
Hours since last Discourse outage: null
-
last 10 minutes or so unresponsive. weird.
-
Is the site unresponsive for anyone else every couple of hours?
Yes, off and on all morning.
-
shall we @summon the devs to have a poke around the box and find out whats going on?

They'll probably just blame it on your bots. ;)
-
if they do now the useragents tell you which one is to blame.
also i want to know and @sam has been actually very nice about that lately.

Ok, but if any bot gets blamed, it's on you!
-
if they have a useragent like:
SockBot 0.13.0 "Devious Daine" @zoidberg
then i will take that blame. if it's another bot... well that's not on me.deal?

I was just saying you'll have to take the blame for summoning the discodevs, but ....
Fine. Deal.
-
well then... @sam, if you would be so kind as to poke our server and see if you can figure out why we're getting the odd slowdowns we* would appreciate it.
* well I would appreciate it at least. Thanks!

Happened again, maybe 15 minutes ago? (When things came back, I was too busy getting on with reading to note the time…)
-
Only thing I am noticing in the error logs is that SMTP sessions are timing out, that really should not be affecting anything here but @apapadimoulis does anything look odd on mandrill?
Will dig into NGINX logs and see what they have to say.

Invisible posts are a barrier to having confidence in Discourse.
-
My confidence in Discourse is equal to visibility of this post.
Filed under: This one is going to work now, just to spite me. Just you wait.

Get the 'h' out of there!

So you're on a highway to hell then?
If such a place exists, yes, because that's where all the fun parties are. You're already here. If you don't believe me, then explain all the WTFs we've written about on this forum since it began? (Realize that that's only the tip of the iceberg!)
-
The WTFs of Discourse could easily be a lot worse. For example, posts appear RTL dependant on the output of a RNG.
Our install could also be unsupported, which would be hell
-
Not talking about Discourse. I'm talking about life.

Back on topic: Reaffirming my vote of no-confidence in Discourse and Alex.
Not that it will make a difference.
-
Not that it will make a difference.
nope. because my vote cancels out yours! (well maybe. it cancels out the vote od someone on this thread and it may as well be you)
-
This thread is still going? I swear it died out after they fixed all the bugs in Discourse.
-
-
-
This is mildly interesting, but only because we represent a base-60 number in base-10.
-

I will just leave this here...
-
Discourse correctly displays my screenshot?
-
You cheeky bastard, I did not realize it was a screen shot and thought things were all FUBAR for me.
Oh well, there was an error, just not on my end. :)
-
fixed all the bugs in Discourse.
Next time give a warning when you're about to post spit-take worthy comments.

I'll let you know if that happens.
-
I can only imagine seeing the bug topics getting jeffed on meta.d

Vote of no confidence reaffirmed.

Vote of no confidence reaffirmed.
@accalia's internal council has voted 146 to 1 (with 50 abstentions) to reaffirm her vote of confidence in this matter.
-
Is there really a chance that there would be a vote of confidence?
No confidence here, BTW.
-

did you miss my post just above yours?
:-P
-
did you miss my post just above yours?
your internal council is finicky and unreliable, and so does not count.
