50 shades of gray
Made me wondering if someone already cashed in on that wave by making 50 shades of gay. But I'm not going to goole that.

Why use variables when you can use a hashtable with strings?
Well, for one it's easier to pass around a single hashtable than a bunch of variables.Filed under: what's a struct?

Welcome to PHP's idea of arrays, folks.

I blame all these modern cheapo packaging that it is impossible to open without resorting to a destroying rampage while holding a knife or scissors. That combo will sooner or later make victims. Mostly it is the package itself, sometimes the contents or other times something that is beneath the package during said attempt to open the unholy package. Ofcourse personally I never, ever destroyed any property while opening a package. Don't look like that! You wanted the package to be opened, didn't you? So now it is open ...
-
-
Have you tried a Holy Hand Grenade?
Not yet, it just appears that both the package, the content, the wooden table holding the package and my eyebrows will be removed in one swift move. I don't mind the table but I'm rather attached to my eyebrows.

Bad, ignorant, same shit in my book.

That image raises other questions entirely. If they want to limit what browsers people use why do they let them install other things?

<Management> You're right! Quick! replace it with a note that says "Please don't install other software. Other software causes viruses! </Management>

Firefox is a virus.

FTFY
And with Opera turning into just another Chrome clone and seemingly not innovating at all by the looks of it there goes the one browser all other browsers stole good ideas from...

Speed dial. I tried to replace Opera for Firefox for my mother's computer, and wanted something that worked like that, since neither Firefox nor Chrome let you manually add sites to the new tab page (are they afraid that Opera will sue them or something? WTF). Tried the only third party extension ("Advanced features should be left to extensions! They should not be built into the browser!") and it was pure crap. So she still uses Opera.
-
That's one thing that Opera Chromiclone didn't fuck up. If that's the only Opera specific feature she uses it will do.
I personally miss tab grouping and Dragonfly (dev tools) the most. Oh, also, still no releases for Linux since 12

Trying to delete thousands of files on Mac... and then missing the trash bin.
BTW, dragging files to the bin is the only way to delete them on Mac. No context menu or menu option.
-
Select them all and hit apple-backspace.
-
Keys don't count. Windows 8 got no break for replacing missing UI elements with key shortcuts. Mac don't get one either.
-
shrug I like keyboard short cuts.

Bullshit

You're right. I got it mixed up with the del key not working.

Using a heatmap based on the age of a topic instead of last activity, pretty much ensuring that any topic that is popular and stays active for long is going to send you conflicting messages:
Look at all these posts! It's red and exciting, go join!
Hey man, this shit is old. Here, let me mark it in blue for you so you know you should probably just move along and let it die.

Anyone else think that removing the href underline creates a barrier to figuring out how many links are there?
-
Leaving in some default styling just isn't done.
-
Anyone else think that removing the href underline creates a barrier to figuring out how many links are there?
Agreed. I could have used pipes instead of commas I guess, but that's just stupid, and is a barrier to writing like a normal fucking human being.
-
Do not be quick to blame yourself for Discourse's failings.
-
You could try underline on hover. Might make some people here cringe but at least you'd be able to identify where the link you are hovering over actually begins and ends.
Filed Under: And if somebody wanted it to look like it does now all they need to do is not hover and use tab to navigate. | That makes me wonder, actually. Is there anybody who browses this forum with a keyboard only and if so... does it work well?
-
You could try underline on hover.
There's an idea... I'll look into it when I get near a proper computer.
Doesn't help on mobile though; may stick a backgound color in, or simply put the underline back in on there.
-
I have done the deed.
-
Now the only other change would be to get rid of (or override) the style making the #tag links black.
Also, to make those style changes for mobile as well.

Err...
@PJH said:Anyone else think that removing the href underline creates a barrier to figuring out how many links are there?
I'm using custom CSS, my links are underlined!
-
Err...
Well fuck me! I pretty much gave up on it and checked only the stable.
Oh well, downloading, though that probably means it will kill my Opera 12 install...
-
I'm using custom CSS, my links are underlined!
You can turn that off now, I've implemented it!
-
Well fuck me! I pretty much gave up on it and checked only the stable.
Don't be fooled. It says Opera on the thing, but it's really just Chrome. There's pretty much nothing distinguishing the two.
