The only thing missing from emacs is a good text editor.Still not sure if it's a Good Idea or a Bad Idea, but it suddenly hit me yesterday that, if Android is basically just Unix, there ought to be a port of emacs for my phone.
How the fuck would that work? Android keyboards don't have enough modifier keys.Damned if there wasn't one, although the comments say there's a problem with certain keyboards and a lot of people are getting a segfault starting it up.
But there *is* an emacs port for Android! That's the kind of discovery you don't get over in a hurry.

I defer to the liveleak description:
@LiveLeak said:Arizona State Student vs Protestor
Watch, a pterodactyl in it's natural habitat.
The pterodactyl first spots a protestor and a mark. The mark, having an alliance with the protestor, defends him.
The pterodactyl first screams in it's distinctive high pitched voice. It then attempts to attack the mark with it's claws, but is defeated.
The pterodactyl, not one for giving up, continues attacking the mark, but once again lies on the ground defeated.
Truly a wonderful creature.
Protester guy (who is apparently a regular, according to the comments) holds a sign warning masterbaters, drunkards, homosexuals, etc, that they are going to hell. Kid flips out and assaults wacko while screeching and manages to make the looney guy look like the sane person in the video.

My adequate imagination allows me to facepalm.

Court saying that search engines need to remove results because a notice about someone infringed their privacy
I wonder how the people who came up with this law view this decision. It would be interesting to see how many other news article are taken down as a result of this.

Technically the notice wasn't taken down, so it would just be that search engines couldn't point to an article not that it couldn't be hosted.

From reading it, google isn't allowed to link to the article if you search on the guy's name. But it doesn't seem like they would have to remove the link if you searched for something else that linked to the article. What a nightmare. It seems to hinge on the existence of Google Spain, located in Spain. This sounds like a good reason for them to get out of the EU, if this sort of request gets big.

Yet another case of a government not knowing how links work on the internet.

I assume you'd get underwear from random dude willing to sell it to you. I can't think of any combination of the two that results in a good idea, at any rate.

It may have been NodeBB's notion of "last unread," which doesn't always match reality, but definitely not even close to my real last unread. I had posted in the topic, myself, a couple hundred posts more recently.
