You must be then.

Repro here, Firefox
-
...Crap, nevermind. I refreshed and...
-
I refreshed
I had a feeling that was gonna happen.
I really like how the bold line is English and the descriptive text is Russian. That's advanced fuckedupness. @pjh, what gives?
-
This happened on meta.d too. ROFL regression.
They cache the message globally. Must have forgotten to add the fix to master...
-
Now it's Spanish.
-
changed my language to spanish -> the popup is translated as it should
changed my language to portuguese -> the popup is translated as it should
returned to(default)
->
-
You are literally changing it for everybody, if I understood the disco team correctly..
-
wait. globally as in: "if I change my language it changes that popup translation for everyone" ?
-
Mine is currently in Spanish. Will refresh and che... WAIT
You are literally changing it for everybody, if I understood the disco team correctly..
JESUS FUCK!
-
Changed my language to de and it's part DE, part ES ...
-
-
You are literally changing it for everybody, if I understood the disco team correctly..
Sounds similar to the Muted users list bug when that feature came out.
-
I just love the way the heading is always in English.
-
I do wonder why they translate that server side, rather than client side...
-
beautiful.
this software keeps on giving
-
Yeah, or rather they cache it for all languages, so you get the one last used..
-
-
Mine is in english. I let my browser default to english because of lazy websites with bad translations. I hate machine translations like what MSDN does by default, they are horrible.
-
Pass. I thought about updating today, but got distracted.
-
Christ, this bug is hilarious.
-
I'm getting spanish:
And I'm pretty sure my locale was set to english (I'm still having trouble getting to my profile).
-
And I'm pretty sure my locale was set to english
Mine was set to default. I changed it to English to no effect. It looks like the global cache theory is the best one at the moment.
-
someone should tell microsoft that developers in general don't want translations.
the worst offender is visual studio. it translates the compiler errors, so good luck finding anything in google

No repro.

Seems to have fixed itself for now. I got Spanish earlier but I get English now.
-
I was going to flag you for rubbing it in, but:
- That would mean work for me.
- It has reverted to English for me as well. At least for now …
-
someone must had changed it's language back to english, prompting a translation for everyone
-
Repro here too!

How is this even possible?

Hmm?
If you're using VS in your native language, you might not have a good enough grasp of English that translated errors will help you more than they'll hurt.
If you do have a good grasp of English, I'm not sure why you'd want to stick with using VS in your language - that's generally the point people switch everything on their computer to English, IME. <script=Input Method Editor?!>
-
because i like having it in my native language? they should be two different settings.
besides, have you tried to change the language in VS?
for some reason every single component it installed on my machine.
i've installed this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48157
it added an "English" option on the settings, wich causes VS to shit itselft when i set its language to english
-
Just reporting in, currently Russian... is someone really changing it all the time or what? Because this is not making much sense apart from someone trolling with constant changes. If anyone is, come out, we won't bite, it's funny, I just want to know WTF is going on.
-
Maybe you need to refresh because it's been English for 5-10 minute or more for me.
-
Ok, yeah... weird, I don't remember refreshing after I got Spanish is the thing. Maybe it needs time to catch up if you don't refresh?
-
A client once gave me a developer VM, hosted on their infrastructure. They installed a Dutch version of Windows XP* and an English version of Visual Studio 2008. However, because they installed a Dutch language pack for .NET 3.0 and 3.0, all the warnings and errors that were raised by the compiler were in Dutch as well.
That was one awful experience.
* Yes, it's that long ago!
-
Why wouldn't they be in Russian?

Paging @maciejasjmj
Well, I was hoping to troll you all into Polish, but I guess I got it broken the other way around...

Now I know how to say "it's broken" in Polish. You should put up a youtube video so I know how to pronounce it.
-
Of, great, thanks for that, I really wanted my wpis to be ofalgovan.
You should put up a youtube video so I know how to pronounce it.
I'll give you the spelling. It's weird. Can't the damned Poles just write stuff like all other honest Slavs so I can at least pronounce it?

Apparently they're like the Irish, who took the English alphabet and did unspeakable things to it.
-
the English alphabet
I knew I wrote something wrong there--I meant, of course, the Roman alphabet, as opposed to something like the Cyrillic one. Didn't want that confused with the English language.
