You spell potatoe, I say tomatay, or: politicians and liars; is the former a strict <del>superset</del><ins>subset</ins> of the latter? Discuss.

I preferred indiscreet math, though it did lead to some nasty gossip around the college.
spellar badge unlocked! -abarker

Doesn't anyone flag for spellar badges around here any more?
-
Rarley.
-
I think we've been numbed by certain frequent misspellars.
-
Actually, I figured it was a joke on Mrguyorama's part, rather than a mistake, and I was keeping it going. My bad.
-
Oh good lord...
It wasn't a joke and I didn't catch that even after you made your comment.I guess I should quit drinking, I don't have the brain cells to spare

We used to award spellar badges to
punishreward that sort of thing, but I guess it happens so often now that no one bothers.
-
And I've had some clever ones the past few weeks, damn it.
I blame @accalia.
-
I was flagging the more entertaining spellars, but stopped because no one else was.
-
Try flagging and creating a topic in the flags/badges category. That seems to drum up interest.
-
Good enough for me!

Damit (sort of) by @antiquarian, @boomzilla, @HardwareGeek, @abarker (but then this is what happens if you are busy on another topic), but:
If such nominations are to be made, certain @mentions should be excluded (by hard code, as in some other @mention) otherwise the Server will get even more "request" related cooties

Gah! I only now noticed some intentional spellars up-thread. I've gotten so used to misspelling that, unless it's so mangled that I can't figure out what it's supposed to be, my brain just auto-corrects everything. Somebody has ruined my ability to proofread.

I doubt you'd recognize such a person even if they did exist. Trying to impress people with awkward self awareness is a childish impulse that you don't normally see outside of college campus. If someone did attain the state you speak of, found themselves wondering where to go from there, they would realize that it would be better just to go with those first-order impulses in first place—allow themselves to become a one dimensional stereotype—for the benefit of themselves and everyone around them, who don't want to have to rethink everything they thought they knew about the world all the god damn time.

Or perhaps not.
