I should dig out my old student ID. Was used to open doors, but with a magstripe. I had many more doors to open than the average student, so my card got TRASHED. I still have it because, well, it still opens those extra doors.

Comedy butt waving at the door when you walk in in the morning laden with coats and gloves and hats and laptop bags and gym bags and a stack of Tupperware containing the week's lunch.
That doesn't sound like it was in

Status: Managed to accidentally save my SQL Server Management Studio 2008 server list on accident.
Apparently, launching SSMS 2014 for the first time prompts you to copy your old sh*t into the new UI (which, apparently doesn't work AT ALL), one of the things is your MRU Server list. This of course, does not work, and would instead delete the required file before attempting to import it, and then *Poof* your server list is gone, saved passwords et al.
I accidentally kept SSMS 2008 open during this, so it had an in-memory copy of the file (because why not?), and it saved it back (well, re-created, since SSMS 2014 ate it) to where it should have been.
From there it was a simple copy-replace (the file format is unchanged), so in a way I managed to perform a better migration than MS!

I got an LG Watch Urbane as a graduation present and I've found it extremely useful, to the point that my day was negatively impacted when I realized I'd put it on the charging dock backwards one night and had to go without it the next day.
-
charging dock backwards
Too bad induction charging isn't really a thing for these devices yet...
-
-
Seconded.
-
It doesn't, really, the button is supposed to fit into a notch on one side, but I was too tired to notice when I took off my watch that night.

Mine easily lasts 2 days on one charge, often 3+.
-
-
Mine usually makes it about 1.5-1.8 days but for some reason it died after about 26 hours that day
-
Really, though, you probably caused the error, since SSMS 14 probably had to get a lock on the file before reading it and 08 probably had that lock already.
I'm actually kinda thinking that might be the cause..... which.... would be trwtf

Being encouraged to download Aptana by college people in my HTML/CSS class.
I'll stick to WebStorm if it's all the same to you, thanks much......

The ID badge with the photo, yes. The photo is the point of having it visible.
The RFID badge with the door opener, no.
Why would you not have one badge that does both?
-
-
You can't keep the door opener card in your wallet.
Why would you want to do something dumb like that when you could have the door opener card be on that photo ID you've already pinned to your shirt or whatever?
That's also why they make retractable string things, so you just pull the card a couple feet off your shirt, scan it, and let it retract.
-
Of course not. Just "new smoke detectors".
Hey, check out the new IR LEDs I installed on my glasses.
What? It's the latest thing but I guess you haven't heard about it yet.

Only one person in the security hallway at a time.
Is there a machine gun in this "security hallway?"
-
t means I have to wait outside and call every few minutes until they're back.
Can't you just call a cow-orker?
-
Even when you click 'Details'?
Nope.
Clicking "Diagnose Errors" opens the Network Troubleshooter (as a modal process, so you can't interact with Chrome anymore until you exit it), which (predictably) says:
-
my wallet bound prox card
What the fuck did you do to that thing, bury it in peat moss for six months?
Open a door and your picture pops up so security can cross reference you.
Seems like a good idea--they want to keep disgruntled ex-employees out.
-
had to go without it the next day.
Some people would take the charger in to work. I'm just sayin'.
-
I'm not sure what you expected; Chrome can only report the info it has available, which in that case, looks like not a lot.
-
And then i'd forget it in the office.
-
And then i'd forget it in the office.
When that happened to me I bought another charger.
Of course it was just a regular phone charger.
-
The watch has its own little dock that I'd have to buy.

I thought only Apple raped its customers like that? Didn't know LG did that too.

I CBA to check but I think all them do that. I've got a cow-orker with a Samsung I could check tomorrow assuming I remember.

I'm not sure what you expected
E_proxy_invalid_response
Basically, the proxy was saying something unexpected (probably something to the effect of "destination server resolved into an unreachable internal ip).
-
If it's like the Moto 360, it's compatible with any[1] wireless charging dock, but you still need a wireless charging dock/station. And because of the nature of the device, the OEM dock is probably more effective (keeps the wireless charging stuff lined up properly so it doesn't overheat and waste energy)
They're different than Apple though, because they don't overcharge a ridiculous amount for the dock.
[1]. Qi-compatible wireless dock. Which.... is basically any wireless dock out there.
-
Which.... is basically any wireless dock out there.
Clarified: any intelligent charging dock out there. A dumb induction charger like a wireless toothbrush probably won't work....

I don't care what "looks good", Windows, you're NOT rebooting while I am using the computer.
Fortunately, I was able to change the Scheduled Task trigger for Windows Update to not fire if the computer is in use.
This took longer than expected because nowhere does anyone want to just prevent that situation. Everyone just wants to turn it off (not ideal - I want the updates to run, just not when I'm using the fricking machine!)

tagged my favorite t-shirt!
Well, he lost his head entirely recently - I think he had to prove his worth somehow :P

hmm... fiddled with some settings, benchmark says FPS is still 60ish, although some activities drop it to the low 50s. I can deal with that.
now, how had the picture quality fared?
better....

Is there a machine gun in this "security hallway?"
No. But there are disgruntled looking fat guys with Glocks reading the newspaper who are annoyed they have to stand up and move.
