That's... that's quite a font for Visual Studio work.
And yes, same item twice, haha, but... that font man.
-
What? Every school I went to, D might as well have been F. C- was always the lowest passing grade.
And when we went to school, we didn't get ribbons/etc just for participating.
-
What, eurofurence? I currently only use it for the UI, and only because I changed it months ago and didn't care. It's possibly the only truly good proportional font for programming, and it has beautiful diagonal 'e's. As discussed elsewhere, googling it is not, perhaps, the best idea, because some european furries decided to have a convention with the same name.
For actual programming - while I used and enjoyed using Buxton Sketch, despite the similarity between O and 0 - for the sake of other people who occasionally look at my screen, I currently use OCR A Extended, which has (obviously) strong enough distinction between symbols that even a particularly dumb computer can read it.
-
The font looks too bold to be readable for long periods of time without causing headaches.
-
That's Resharper's fault. It randomly bolds active editable grids.
-
Status: hoping this it's from the sandman movie and not a random creepy gif

Yeah, yeah, and I read Playboy for the articles.
-
Well, I do like progamming in it. Maybe I'll turn it back on.

Status: wondering why nobody has made a "We invited the stripers, JFK and Stalin."-esque representation of "attorneys general" versus "attorney generals".

Status:</b.> Wondering why @ben_lubar hasn't already done that, since that seems like the kind of thing that's in his wheelhouse.
Hey, Ben, how would you say those two phrases in Toki Pona?
-
With the oxford comma:
mi vi'ecpe lo tafyvi'ujibri ku jo'u la jyfykys. jo'u la stalin.Without the oxford comma:
mi vi'ecpe lo tafyvi'ujibri ku no'u la jyfykys. jo'u la stalin.
-
Yeah, yeah, and I read Playboy for the articles.
People still read Playboy? I was sure the internet would have killed it off by now.
-
That looks like Lojban, not Toki Pona. Even aside from that, I disagree with the soi-disant lojban-to-english "translator" page, when it spits out this, which is clearly not English, except inasmuch as some of the individual words are, in fact, English words.
[1(2[vi'ecpe1 (visit-ing-request-er(s)??) :] mi I, me)2 [is, does] «3vi'ecpe visit-ing-request-er(s)??»3 (4[vi'ecpe2 (visit-ing-requested thing(s)??) :] (5(6lo any/some tafyvi'ujibri garment-ish-remov-ing-occupation(s)?? ku jo'u in common with la jyfykys. Except they aren't even spools of thread, they're spools of long rainbow belts made to look like spools of thread.
This is the especially stupid part.

I refuse to believe this is on their site
Now for Status:
The TI opening ceremony is confirmed to have an orchestra, so that's awesome (Video Games Live sent out a press release with that today). I somehow got my badge on Monday. 9 days to go!
-
-
-
I think in this case "The The International opening ceremony" is valid because the thing is named "The International", not "International".
-
Well, see, I make a lot of Dota posts, so I don't think it's a giant leap to figure out I'm blabbering about Dota junk.
However, when you google TI Opening Ceremony it's only the third link, and even then it's JoinDota, not the actual page.
-1 pedantic point for @blakeyrat.

I assumed it was some gaming thing because you post a lot of gaming drivel. But I thought of Texas Instruments just like @blakeyrat did, because Dota? WTF? I mean...we even have a custom button to make this stuff easy to annotate.
-
He spelled it wrong, the name of the game is DOTA2.
There is no game named "Dota". There is a mod named "Defense of the Ancients", but I don't think it was ever officially named "Dota" or even "DOTA".

+1 pedantic point. Congratulations.

You better believe it, bitch.

We have retired A White Bunny and A Blue Sea and replaced it with 2 new hotspots. The new Hotspots are A Rainy Night and A Purple Sunset. They are ready for use in Outlook. You will book time with them the same way you did before.
I love the names of stuff at this company. We name everything.

FrostCat is a Douchebag. I just named it this instant.

What's yours?
"Some 30yo POS".
oh wait, that's a description, but it applies to most of the shit in this office.
-
What's yours?
Actually it got a new name this afternoon, via email: The Online Liquor Store Is Out Of Cheap Polish Vodka. Go figure.
-
"Yeah, that's really good... oh, by the way, that whole process you're modelling? It works totally different than you're assuming."
It's a classic: "You gave us what we asked for, not what we want"
Status: Much to do. Have a feeling it's going to be one of those days.
-
We invited the stripers
You invited the DOT employees who paint the lane stripes on the highways?
-
He spelled it wrong, the name of the game is DOTA2.
There is also no game called that.
There's DotA, the Warcraft III mod, and Dota 2, the Valve standalone version.

Future Status: Travelling >700 miles each way for a face-to-face job interview, spending the night in a motel because the first morning flight won't get me there in time, and spending many hours in airports that are neither my origin nor destination because low fares. Finally got the official calendar invitation with start and end times. Interview duration: 1 hour.
-
Dude.
It's right there in black and fake-chrome.
-
Let's zoom out a bit, shall we?
It says "Dota 2" 4 times in that screenshot. Great job picking the one time they stylized the name for a logo and skipping over the actual textual names. Oh, and look, it also says "Dota" once.
-
#OH SNAP!
Wait I no longer give a fuck.
-
Yep, @blakeyrat stops caring the moment after someone proves him wrong. Classic @blakeyrat.
-
That wacky silly sod!

YMBNH.
-
-
Oh, and look, it also says "Dota" once.
Five times, because:
It says "Dota 2" 4 times in that screenshot.
and there is a "Dota" without a "2" following in there too.

Status: Is there no LIMS out there that isn't either a pile of shit or specifically locked down to production labs? (Or both.) For some reason, nobody seems to do anything for research labs, and everyone I've talked to either uses something custom in-house or gets by with a scrappy mess of bits of paper and excel spreadsheets…

You should probably run. If the unicorns got her, you're probably next.

YEA!
I guess. What does that even mean?
But yea! Go You!
