Wow.. that, I didn't, just that response, never expected, WHAT THE GOOD?

So I sent an "unsolicited mail" complaint. Got this response:
I am now currently following this up with the client to enquire as to why you (and two others, REDACTED@OURCOMPANY and REDACTED@OURCOMPANY ) were sent emails despite never having opted in. Obviously this has been a great hassle to you and I really want to resolve the problem immediately. I have permanently removed you from their send list, and so you will not be contacted again by REDACTED.
I never got an answer like this before. Never. Sometimes it was "we're looking into it but can't provide details", if anything. I'm close to tears here.

@Tsaukpaetra when they started out with a fairly standard "we take Spam complaints very seriously" blurb I was already hovering over the delete-button. Then this paragraph.

maybe they sent this spam, and this excuse to 10 million people that are now in awe of how not spammy they are

@AyGeePlus I could understand saying something like, "...along with two other people from your company." But not mentioning the actual email addresses.

Sounds like the new mail admin just started.
Don't worry, by next July things will be back to normal.

The other two addresses belong to people that sit right next to me, and they didn't complain. I was surprised that they were listed by name but for us this is no breach of privacy. If this were some generic mail provider it would not be okay of course.
I do not know how they knew. Maybe they checked the OURCOMPANY website. Or maybe they're doing that to everybody else too and a geemail-user that complained just got a response with hundreds of other people that were spammed as well
