I think you need to refresh. That's old UI from before we updated to get the ignore thread features. Should be a drop down now.

Yeah, just Ctrl+F5... oh.
-
@boomzilla I wasn't aware that my phone's state was outdated.
-
@aliceif So I gathered.
-
@boomzilla Can't something be done about that? How can a tab be outdated for over a week without it fixing itself or me being aware of it?

If one never refreshes....
Have you not seen the orange "This forum has been updated to the latest version" box?

I have no idea. My knowledge barely goes beyond, "Oh, you're on mobile..."

Have you not seen the orange "This forum has been updated to the latest version" box?My best guess is that that doesn't show up if you're not connected to the server when it restarts.

@ben_lubar I suppose that an app could generate a uuid or something whenever its restarted. Then clients could check whether it's changed since their last refresh.

It does that. Check the URL of nodebb.min.js.

Except it doesn't check and prompt the user, obviously.

@boomzilla Someone just reinvented ETags.
-
@error said in NOTABUG: the eye button does nothing:
@boomzilla Someone just reinvented ETags.
ETags require an HTTP request to check, whereas far future expirations and changing the URL of the resource when it changes doesn't.
-
@error Not quite the same thing, though. We're not talking about caching stuff to avoid requests, but initiating a request in the first place.
