We did Fawcett's Bounty tonight... always makes me feel like an idiot. Those jumps across the beams seem way harder than they should be. Sure it's just me fatfingering it though.
-
Those beam jumps are a PITA.
-
When I played I was a male charr, so my character model was about 57 times larger than the little shit you had to stand on during the jumping puzzles.
Ben L has the right idea playing as the tiny space elf character dude.
-
This is partly why I also play an asura ;)
-
My main thankfully is human. Not has handy as the space elf.. but less rendering issues with vanity armor. <3
You're hardcore though for jumping puzzling on a charr.
-
I've not had any issues with asura armour rendering, though I have had my longbow render through my back a few times.
-
-
Well, duh, it's blakeyrat.
-
HoTs been fun so far... we gotta head back in now they've fixed the balancing chaos.
-
rendering issues with vanity armor.
I've had this problem with far too many shoes and pants as a male charr. =(
-

You gotta get the 100% area completion.
-
@Arantor and I are doing that at the moment. Let the quest for legendary weapons begin!
-
Charr are barely bipedal, the males even less-so than the females. They really should have made custom meshes for them.
-
yes that would have solved a lot of issues. The cultural sets look alright, but more variety of nicely rendering sets would have been nice. I rarely take my war out these days.
-

Yeah, but so far I've found at least 3 different places I can think of where the path I had to take consisted of something so small that if the physics engine were more accurate, I would have fallen a few feet, racked myself, and then fallen to my death.
-
Because you can't use a glider, obviously.
-
I had some trouble figuring out how to get gliders. many, many, many unnecessary deaths
-

Yeah. What really bugs me is how they just stretch all the shoes so the heel is located at the second joint of the charr legs. I don't need heels a third of the way up my leg, you morons!
-
Not while stunned by the corner of a metal beam hitting your crotch.
-
Sounds like you're
-
I'd like to see the right way for a charr to tiptoe his way up a narrow metal beam without falling. The way GW2 shows it, he simply runs across the air on either side of the beam.
-
Frequently the same for an asura... The number of times I've stood on thin air is not even funny.
-
all that dark magic the blood legion gets up to!
-
Didn't Ben L say something about this recent patch finally adding a 1st person mode? That'd help.
Ironically, since usually platformers in 1st person are shitty.
-
Yeah, it does. But it doesn't help much when the path you're trying to take is COVERED IN FOLIAGE EVERYWHERE BECAUSE YOU'RE IN A TREE HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA
Anet is evil like that.
-
think he's right. not tried it... 1st person games make me motion sick
-
that sounds like @Arantor in Goemm's Lab XD
-
I fell off the beams a few times when I was in combat, but it was easy once I cleared out the area. I guess I'm not used to doing jumping puzzles with any speed other than 294 inches per second.
Also, I did this jumping puzzle for the first time ever today, when I was trying (without succeeding) to salvage the trek. I did a jumping puzzle with a similar section in Tangled Depths, though. The one with a bunch of mushrooms that try to murder you and something dead's ribcage instead of the beams. It's even harder when you have access to a glider, since opening your glider makes you shoot directly between the places you can stand.
-
I seem to be fine as long as I don't think about making jumps. Once I have some sort of thought going on it's over.
-
Yeah, that's pretty much me.
-
Status: Is this NPC a TDWTF member?
-
Dammit, when I saw that NPC I meant to take that line and use it wherever possible here, but then I forgot about it.
-
Got the love the Asura
-
But does it come with a new Xunlai Storage Pane, accessible from the chest and corresponding agent in each and every settlement?
-
Obviously not--he spelled pendantry wrong.
