<kdb>CTRL++

Yeah, I suppose
LockWindowUpdate()
is no solution to the problem at all in this case.

Also, hit CTRL + enough and the elevator-doo-hickey jumps to the bottom-middle of the page...
So a to whoever used enough <small>s to make me zoom to 250%... because I got a LOL out it... except I was laughing at Jeff not your joke.

Surprised you're avoiding the banhammer...
Call it a passive-aggressive game of chicken.
But this badge. At first I was like "let's just paste without comment lol". Then I had a sip of coffee.
Okay, let's see if I can parse this.
- Likes are a feature of Discourse. They're supposed to measure the worthiness of a post.
- But they aren't important enough to give you a UI to see your most liked posts.
- Because that would gamify the discussion. So likes aren't a measure of worth.
- Unless it's a like from a Discodev on a BUG REPORT, which in their eyes are the least useful discussion that could be had (on their bug tracker).
- But this grants a BADGE. Which are gamifications of a discussion.
- So it's a reward for a earning a single useless point on a type of discussion they hate!
- and the cherry on top? The bug reported was a trivial keyboard shortcut in a fucked up implementation of a shitty WYSIWYG markup code that the Discodev team both ACKNOWLEDGE and****strong text insist is NOT_A_BUG-- but rather than closing, they liked and granted an award.
Strong in this one the cognitive dissonance is. Jeff being "this one". - Yoda

i have made my position on those sort of jokes clear multiple times now.
As have we ;)
-
We should lure Jeff back. He looks like he might be fun.
I'm pretty sure Jeff is still lurking here with a few sock accounts, after all, we already know that he is @nagesh
-
Someone should go over there and post the 'discard == keep EVERYTHING' bug. If anyone remains unbanned. It's going to annoy me like crazy in the six months it will take us to decide and finish importing to a new forum.

-
Yeah. Most people here have looked too deep into the code, and when the code looked back ... well, you know how it goes.
-
It's like taking the red pill from Morpheus then seeing the green lines on black everywhere.
It's not fun being able to see the source code of the world.
-
It's not fun being able to see the source code of the world.
The problem is that you look everywhere and you see shitty bodges everywhere.
-
Well, that's more the effect rather than the cause, but yeah. Bodges, bodges everywhere and not a patch in sight.
-
It's not fun being able to see the source code of the world.
It wouldn't be so bad if it was commented at all...

There is documentation, but there are several contradictory versions, most people don't actually read any of it, the ones who do read it can't agree on what even a single version says, and a lot of the ones who think they understand it don't believe it.

Oooh that's good. I'm gonna have to steal that and put it in my quote book

Sometimes I feel like that when looking at the source code to something. Not the comments in the code, the code itself…

Funny stuff... I just "earned" the "tester" badge for apparently doing such awesome QA for the team. These are the current holders:
There seems to be a higher than average number of suspended (and anonymized...) users in this group... Very odd.
-
You didn't have it on 2014-07-24 already?
-
It may have been a good thing to not be so distinguished at that time, assuming that being able to file more bugs is somehow desirable :D
-
It was desirable for a short time

...if you assume each bug can only be reported by one person.... that image shows TDWTF responsible for reporting at least 90 defects.
That's 90 bugs that got past their process reported by one install alone in the... what, year we've had it?

4 of us have the 20 bugs .
Although, it's not 20 bug reports which got liked, it's really 20 posts in the bugs category which got a Discodev like.

....I wonder how many posts we made total, if 130+ of them got liked by discodevs....

Part of the process which includes reclassifying bugs as UX issues.
-
Oh yeah... I wonder what the total is including those.
I don't wonder enough to actually find out, mind.
-
My point was this: I bet you anything the data shows us being, if not model citizens, at least valued community members on meta.d prior to the ban. The publicly available data.

The badge description says "topics." Not that I expect their badges to be bug free.

You can also tell by how many stupid and obvious bugs got through the last couple of beta cycles AND INTO THE STABLE RELEASE which we didn't test and report on.
-

Yes, and it's buggy.
I have 12 topics I created in the Bugs category. I have the 20 topic .Not that I expect their badges to be bug free.

I am too lazy to check but there are @RaceProUK, @loopback0 @boomzilla, @Matches, @PJH who got banned and @anon42064797 and @anon25879736 who got renamed (and banned)
So your numbers don't match up....
Filed Under: I didn't even make the cut... with what 5 bug reports?

there's also @accalia that should be banned but isn't and has no idea why, and has even les interest in having anything to do with meta.d again.

Yeah, still not sure how you not banned guys pulled that off... I would accuse you of paying Jeff to let you stay... but that would be an insult I would not try even here.

Yeah, my point was that with one hand they're indicating we're valuable community members while with the other they're kicking us out. :/

I said that I no longer wished to be associated with that site, after the initial actions happened.
And that's what I got.
-
Well, here you have the problem of automatic system vs human action.
The system automatically gives badges based on random factors. The Jeff manually bans everybody because he wants us to stop (getting those delicious badges)
If Jeff manually gave those badges out... the page would constist of him only!
