The irony is that the advertised Pringles don’t even contain pork – they are merely pork flavoured, meaning that devout Muslims (or Jews and vegetarians) can technically consume them without violating their dietary restrictions.

Thought it very funny, so I'll just leave it here.

I'd believe almost anything from CNN, but that "Just In" caption is 'shopped.
EDIT: Nope, I stand corrected. More quality journalism from the network that brought you 18 hours of balloon boy coverage without once asking anybody, "hey if that balloon, filled with hydrogen, large enough to lift a child?"

The last paragraph details how bad a fall can be should you trip over the Marine you just stabbed, just before three of his mates do their civic duty and help you up.

It could have been[1]; there's that guy who took a ride on a chair and balloons in the 80s, remember (and Mythbusters confirmed it years ago)?
[1] I don't remember how big the balloon was--the only still shots I ever saw of it were in the sky so you couldn't estimate the size.

We have a couple of Muslim families in our Cub Scout pack. For breakfast, we often cook turkey bacon and eggs. The Muslim kids really love the bacon (well, who doesn't love bacon?). I keep my thoughts on the adequateness of turkey bacon to myself. But since they enjoy bacon flavored turkey, I could totally see these kids enjoying bacon flavored chips.
-
That particular one might have been large enough (mmmmight), but remember they had the video of the launch. And the launch shows the thing rocketing up like it's carrying almost no weight at all. Which is what it was doing-- the box was empty.
-
All fair points. I vaguely recall the guy who actually was documented as having doing it say that happened to him, too--he rocketed up so fast he dropped the bb gun he was going to use to shoot the balloons to get down.

On the 2 cars I've tried with a design like that, you can't directly switch from 5th gear to reverse, you have to move it to the centre first as a safety measure.
I tested the (stationary) Landcruiser and I can confirm that you cannot go from 5th to reverse; you need to go back into neutral first.

turkey bacon
The turkey is often cured in a mix of seasonings and refined bacon grease for up to 48 hours.

But can you shift from neutral to reverse while the car is moving forward? I suggest you try with the car moving next time.

Why is it surprising that turkey bacon is flavored with bacon?

Why is it surprising that turkey bacon is flavored with bacon?
well for one thing that makes it not kosher, meaning that this statement from the linked wikipedia article is a bit of a
Turkey bacon is also an alternative for people who do not eat pork for religious or dietary reasons.

Why is it surprising that turkey bacon is flavored with
baconpork?Because I'd expect it to be flavored with turkey, not pig. Not all bacon has pork in it.
-
I couldn't find the link backing up that assertion (cured with bacon grease). The article cited at the end of the sentence was about tasting and rating different brands (the top scoring Oscar Meyer brand is what we used).
It wouldn't surprise me if some was done that way. Of course, to be extra sure, one should be using certified halal or kosher, but that stuff seems to be good enough for them. Next time I'm at the store, I'll try to remember to look at the packaging for hints.

I leave that as an experiment for some other Landcruiser owner.

Whilst cleaning up my open window, I actually noticed this (as indicated):
All the more amusing because I needed to "format" it to find out what it (the query) was doing as a precursor as to why it wasn't.
Protip: Not my Query, not my Code. But my current role is dealing with inherited, evolved (including unpruned branches of that evolution that have been left there dead or alive), stuff that works with the constraint of not changing anything.

Question on Quora: I am confident that I am going to build a search engine that will definitely beat Google badly, but for now I don't know any programming. What should I do?

Isn't the answer "the vast majority" on any question site?

I suspect genuine ignorance drowns out pretend ignorance. It would take a special mix of ignorance and self-confidence to genuinely ask something that stands out, though, and those are the ones that make me doubt.

Do you have much experience with ordinary sockets either?

The original as predicted in T1, or one of the dates it was pushed back to in the sequels?

Makes more sense now that the punctuation has been corrected.
