She's a kangaroo (I found the artist's DeviantArt); explains the size of the feet at least
And the one on the left is not a dog, but a meerkat
-
whoops. missed the e in note.
what a difference a single letter cna make.
-
I guessed the kangaroo pretty quickly when I saw the tail, but guessed the other was a tiger.
-
My English is good enough to differentiate were from we're, its from it's and their from they're.
You're ahead of many native speakers.

Which is correct:
- Grocer's apostrophes
- Grocers' apostrophes
- Grocer's apostrophe's
-
-
How many grocers are we talking about here?
-
None. We're talking about their apostrophe's. Or perhaps they're apostrophes we're talking about. Or were.
-
Not that >.>
I cannot decide whether I quite like its self-descriptiveness or I quite like that it's self-descriptive.
-
Gro'cers apo'strophes

Which is correct:
- Grocer's apostrophes
- Grocers' apostrophes
- Grocer's apostrophe's
Any one of these could be depending on context. Does the Grocer's apostrophe possess anything?

Banana's 55c

Which is correct:
- Grocer's apostrophes
"Look at how my grocer's apostrophes are dotted all over in the wrong places; some of them shouldn't even be there"
Grocers' apostrophes
"Have you heard about Mr Grocers? Well Mr Grocers' apostrophes are generally redundant, and those that aren't are generally in the wrong place."
Grocer's apostrophe's
"My local grocer only has one apostrophe on this sign, the grocer's apostrophe's position on it is entirely wrong."
Somewhat contrived, especially the last, but all could be correct depending on context.
-
Well Mr Grocers' apostrophes are generally redundant
That one is wrong. With “grocers' apostrophes” you've got several grocers with multiple apostrophes between them. You were trying to write “Grocers's”. Really.
It's a simple rule, but it's one based on grammar.
-
Yeah; it would need to be a grocers' convention or something.
-
That one is wrong.
It isn't.
You were trying to write “Grocers's”
No. I most certainly wasn't - I was most careful about that. Either may be stylistically correct (depending on which style your're following, of course) for proper names.
-
-
The bad jokes thread is that way.
-
i've been waiting four days for someone to tell me that!
-
I know a guy who would always write "differen't". Actually, more than one guy and they didn't know each other. WTF!?
-
Wha't's so s'trange abou't 'tha't? Isn't a 't always preceded with a quo'te?
Reminds me of ejective fricatives in Khosian languages.
-
And variants.
Suggested usage: Cable [insert incredibly complex nomenclature system (or not) here] End A/B (etc)

Maybe he wa'th writing with a li'thp. WHY ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF HIS SPEECH IMPEDIMENT?!
Just parse that as "difference" and be done with it.
