Google Maps Pac-Man and other April Foolishness

Youtube also added an "Add music" button
All it does is play short fragments of Darude - sandstorm. :|

CNR

I use the HTML 5 player, I have the button.
-
I don't think the standard player, HTML5 or flash, has transparent UI...

that's what shows up when i hover over the video. they disappear if i leave the mouse alone for a moment or move it off the video.
not done anything special to the player there.
-
I think I broke https://com.google. All I did was search for "askew"...
-

Mine doesn't.
-
A better DeviantArt joke would have been to replace every image with badly-drawn Sonic the Hedgehog fan characters.
Oh wait, nobody would have been able to tell it was a joke.
-

Nice
I tried 'spin'; didn't do anything
-
Do a barrel roll is interesting
-
I went to this video and clicked the button:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HQaBWziYvY
Doesn't do anything, lame.
-
It also adds an "Auto Darude" option to the settings.

On the other hand, searching for blink tag didn't break it.
Following the copied URL isn't working for me.
-

Search for 'straight' to get it back.
-
On many song-related searches on YouTube, it suggests Sandstorm by Darude
-
*ramblings of a killjoy*
Aww, did someone not put the right type of seed out for you this morning?
-
And the award for least funny joke of the day goes to: reCAPTCHA!
-
But April Fools Day is a silly day for silly people.

OK, now I can tell that you are German.
-
Is that a bad thing?
-
Haha, no. Not at all.
(For the rest of the class, that was sort of an inside joke. I sent @aliceif a PM when I found out she was German because I always thought she was British. In retrospect, that might have been an insult. ;) )
-
-
Yeah but you think everyone's British
That one was honest. Most of the others were just to annoy @another_sam. Which...where the hell has that limey bastard been?
-

I know.
Which...where the hell has that limey bastard been?
He's probably queueing somewhere like the Brit he is.
-

That picture is as British as a boiled steak.
-
Either everyone is in on it or everyone whooshed... because I can't find anything that shows that the button is a joke.
-
Huh. My sources that it was are all in meatspace, so I don't have a counter-link.
-
-
Well... it seemed stupid at first, but actually it seems pretty reasonable. If they can make it cheap enough, they'll get their investment back with 5 or 6 button pushes. And Amazon has stated that their long-term goal is to be the global store for everything.

Yeah it doesn't seem like that terrible of an idea either. When I'm at the store, I always forget about certain items that are only bought less than once a month (like laundry detergent). It'd be kind of nice to be able to hit a button when I run out/close to running out and have another bottle show up in the mail. If it is an april fool's joke, then i think they need to turn it into a viable solution instead.
Actually, that's basically how my one medication works... when I get to the last syringe in the box we call the pharmacy and say "moar pzl", then more shows up at my door 2 days later.
-
is doing it too. with karma chameleon

My new HP all-in-one printer wanted to auto-maniacly reorder ink for me.
Just what I need - three thousand copies of hinney* pictures and the ink just keeps flowing...
*Hinney - the kind of
buttrear-end children have."LOOK! Dad bought a Copierrrr............"
-
I've actually been to the pub on the right.
-
This link works:

Did anyone post the unfunny DOS phone thing yet?
http://lumiaconversations.microsoft.com/2015/04/01/microsoft-launches-ms-dos-mobile/

They didn't even have the guts to go all the way through without an April 1st smallprint in their announcement video.
-
Does it actually work? Because that would be kinda cool
-
It's an app, like any other; I'm playing with it now
Cortana's part of it too
-

They put an app up in the store. Probably a quickly-ported DOSBox or something.
-
Not at all: it's pretty good actually. There's a Rock-Paper-Scissors game in it too ;)
-
I've just downloaded it and I hate you.
-
-
Do I seriously have to run mouse.com? Jesus, this is just reminding me of how shitty computers were.
EDIT: Cortana's little commentary on the stuff you type is mildly amusing though.
-
I love how seriously you're taking a piss-take app
-
Yeah I gave up at the lame 640k should be enough for anybody joke.
It's basically a boring text adventure.
-
You were only two steps away from playing RPS though! Which is graphical, btw.
-
Oh noes my life will be so empty.
