That puts a bit of a damper on what was otherwise turning out, so far anyway, to be a fairly decent day.

So, what is the most Quintessential-ly Spock Episode?
What do the Offspring of IJIJ watch in tribute to Leonard Nimoy tomorrow night?
-
Star Trek III?

Star Trek III?
I'd say you need to watch at least the Wrath of Khan first for Search for Spock to make any kind of sense from the character standpoint. I mean, you can't really appreciate the whole deal of saving the guy if you don't know who he is, and Khan does a decent job of it IMHO. And while you're at it, just watch the whole mini-trilogy that is Star Trek 2-3-4, because it's all good stuff.
Then again, if you already know Spock well, Search for Spock would work, yeah.

City on the the Edge of Forever. That one line, "he knows, Doctor. He knows."

City on the the Edge of Forever. That one line, "he knows, Doctor. He knows."
Hmm. A fine choice.
Somehow I saw this when I was a little kid, maybe on initial airing, sneaking out of my room and peering out from the hallway. The time portal thing scared the absolute crap out of me.
-
I rewatched it as an adult, and I imagine the writing room:
Wait, if drunk/crazy McCoy is in the past, isn't his phaser going to be a huge issue? Like we can't leave that behind in the past, we need to ditch it somehow.
We'll solve it by having a homeless guy grab the phaser, fiddle with it for a moment, then stone-cold vaporize himself with it.
Jesus, they weren't foolin' around.

One of favorite lines:
T'Pau "Live long and prosper, Spock"
Spock: "I shall do neither, for I have killed my Captain... and my friend."

What a sad day.
Now we can all talk about how fine actor he was. Also his grandson immediately make LLAP website and ask people to buy stuff. Is this how these actor people are mourning? :shame:
-
Meh, Leonard would have wanted his son to be better off.
-
How are they going to DeusEM the third reboot movie?
(I need some sidekick person following me to explain that, "That's how he expresses that he'll miss Leonard")

I'm a bit surprised at how obvious it is that Nimoy is driving a Mercedes... Poking fun, Audi, are we?
