Nope, those look just fine.
The category marker flows out of the title bar, though.

The Lounge background is a bit ... weird when scrolling through a topic in Konqueror.
Same applies to Turn Left.

Laziness is awesome!
Indeed! Sadly, I neglected to disable my alarm clock last night. It awakened me much too early this morning, and I couldn't get back to sleep, so I'm being not-awesome this morning.

Prod is broken. Because that's what happens when you rush a release.
Boss called me out of bed to fix it(the one who rushed it is sleeping). On a saturday. At 10 am. And i may have had a little too much beers yesterday.
I hate all the things.

Wondering how and why another topic I muted seems to have become unmuted.

That's not regular water. It's all our tears, collected since when we switched to Discourse. They buffer finally overflowed.
Filed under: Yes, I know Discourse servers are "in the cloud" you pedantic dickweeds

Did you mean Inedo?

GOOD! That damed thing always caused me more problems than all other codecs combined.

You were Hanzo'ed actually.

Yes, by you, you posted as I was typing.

was supposed to refer to @aliceif's post.

Excuse me I'm trying to be a pedantic dickweed here and you're making it really hard.

you're making it really hard
I aim to please.
But enough talk! I'm outta here, time to partake in poisonous substances, otherwise known as alcohol.
You can consider that a status. If you want.

Right? Aaaand this was from the week before…

Status: Running prime95 (CPU burn in tool) on a production server. Because IT wants us to test their new monitoring suite.
Next I need to run it out of RAM.
Then crash it altogether.I'm not sure they know what production servers are for, but they escalated when I filed their request in the place it belongs, and I couldn't make anybody see sense.

Status: confused
Might be experiencing the same thing @CarrieVS described upthread. Drank plenty. Nauseous, which seems more like the effect of drinking too much liquid rather than effect of alcohol. Motor functions good, mostly unimpeded. Very slight feeling of being drunk but not even close to being proportional to amount of alcohol I ingested. And I'm not a drinker usually.
Conclusion: fuck this shit, it's too late for scientific analysis. I'm going to bed.

Ok, traditionally was probably the wrong word.
The best way.

Status: I swear to God that my uvualis swollen to the size of a testicle. Aside from being really painful every time I swallow for the last 4 days, it's also making it hard to drift off to sleep. If I lie on my side, I 'snore' every time I breathe in, as various swollen throat parts rattle against each other; if I lie on my back breathing in is easy, but I can't breathe out through my note as all, I only through my mouth. (Not that the prospect of mouthbreathing fills me with much joy anyway.) Might try sleeping with my face elevated to normal standing position soon, I've got so little to lose here...
Also my wife made a video of me sleeping last night so she could demonstrate the inhuman nocturnal noises I've been making the past few days. It's unclear whether this footage will be submitted for the forthcoming hard-hitting documentary "Reasonably Well-off City Guy is a Bit Ill..."

double drive failure
ouch. that's a PITA
i learned the hard way:
availability -> RAID
data security -> off site backupsStatus: i should be sleeping
-
My beef with RAID is that you are introducing new and wonderful dependencies, you can't just pick up the surviving drives and keep going, its an all or nothing thing. Added to that on Linux software raid you are unlikely to have perfect monitoring in place that will tell you when drives fail or about to fail.
These SOHO hardware raid things are the worse though adding an extra dependency on hardware that may or may not be available in a few years. Its not enough just to have the drives, you need the actual proprietary hardware to make sense of them.
If I went down the a few 2TB drives floating around approach, odds of me getting into this mess would have been so much lower.

Aaand good... well, afternoon :P
Status: Still confused. Woke up late, but no hangover. Slight headache but I always get that when I sleep too long, and I slept for like 10h so that's not surprising. Still no idea where all the liquids went since I still have no urge to use the proper channels for getting rid of it.
Conclusion: probably striking yesterday's "menu" off my list of things I'm willing to drink. It breaks my biology, apparently.
