Sweet QA work Ubisoft
-
From AssCreed Unity
-
OMG ITS A TYPO IN PROBABLY A THREE HUNDRED PAGE CREDIT REEL, GIVE THEM A BREAK
@Zoidberg what is your opinion?
-
@delfinom, You seem malnourished. Are you suffering from internal parasites?
-
Eh, you're right. These jokers are probably a year away from version 1.0.
-
-
Sweet QA work, @chubertdev
-
better?
-
Not really, you've ruined my joke and made me look like a bit of a dick
-
IMHO, the edit icon prevents that.
-
The fact that it's right in the Quality Control part of the credits makes me think it might have been an intentional joke.
At least they have a QA team.
-
I wish it was you that got shot instead of this cartoon character.
Oh dear! It appears @chubertdev has succumbed to Fox brainwashing and now believes that this is an acceptable way to talk to people...
-

Yeah, plus the way they circled it with red is kind of a giveaway.
-

Your purple dildo avatar already takes care of that.
-
QQuality QA work on par with this?
-
AssCreed Utiny isn't the only one with odd things in the credits.
This is from Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric:
-
I was going to post a glitch montage from AssCreed Unity, but it's been taken down for copyright since last night. Not even by Ubisoft, but something called "Angrycentaurgaming"
-

yeah.... ContentID is a wee bit broken. Everyone admits it, but Youtube needs it to keep from being sued into oblivion by the RIAA and there's really no better solution out there yet.
better legislation would help, or some policy changes by youtube (like making false claims count as strikes just like copyright strikes work)

You want some QA complaints about Unity? Look at this:
This is my favorite:
-
From what I've been reading, this typo is right now the least of Ubisoft's QA team concerns.
-
I never thought I'd see the day when a game made Sonic 06 look good
-
I never thought I'd see the day when a game made Sonic 06 look good
I thought that already happened with Aliens: Colonial Marines.
-
Sonic Rush Adventure got dangerously close.
Although, that game has a pretty solid engine (like Rush, but with a tweaked tension gauge system). Everything else about it, though ... yuck

Why the fuck is everyone blaming Ubisoft?
You are inside the Animus inside AssCreed. Blame the guys who made the Animus and tell Obstergo to fix their shit.

Someone's been drinking the kool-aid.
-
-
Kool-Aid: better or worse than Pepsi?
Hmmm ... If we're talking the brainwashing variety, worse. Otherwise, depends on how strong it is. Basically, if the Water:Mix:Sugar ratios are off, it's crap. Also, flavor makes a difference.
-
IMHO, the edit icon prevents that.
IMHO, no, it doesn't. I look at the post content, and tend to mostly ignore that visual noise along the right side. Unlike @codinghorror, I do not think the noise should be hidden from the user; my brain filters it out unless I have a reason to look at it, in which case the information should be right there in plain sight.
Now in this specific case, I don't see a big deal. I saw @Jaloopa's post and your response and thought, "Broken link; you fixed it." Scrolled back to your earlier post, saw the edit pencil (because I was specifically looking for it), said "Yup," and moved on. I don't think your edit made @Jaloopa look bad at all. (Part of that may be that within the last couple of days I also drew someone's attention to a link that worked for him but not for others, which he then fixed.)
-
That's not a QA problem: That's serendipity.
-

Kool-Aid has flavors? I thought it was all just some vile, unnamed, probably toxic chemical.

My response was the safety net.

Here's a small sampling:
-
9 Great Colors! Same Awful Taste!
-
Well it's the colors that matter (Kool-Aid works pretty well for cheapo hairdye).
-

Yes, but there are different flavors for the same vile, unnamed, probably toxic chemical.
-
9 Great Colors! Same Awful Taste!
Au Contraire[1]! It's 9 distinct awful tastes.
[1] That's French for....aw, never mind, the joke wasn't as funny as I thought.

I believe you're referring to this: http://what.thedailywtf.com/t/egocentric-flame-war-tech-interviews/3699/163
You'll notice I didn't edit the link, just re-posted as a reply to you, mainly because the actual source was a completely different site.
Side note: Too bad LinkedIn, you could have had more people pointed towards you. Downside of a 'members only' page.

Which does nothing more than point you to an external, public site.

That seems almost as bad as the launch of SotS. Of course SotS was launched by a small third tier developer run by a bullying asshole who made @blakeyrat seem like a decent and caring person, whereas this is a AAA title with hundreds of people working on it. So I guess not much like SotS after all.
- Can’t launch the game – ACU.exe WORKING ON IT
Then again, the similarities are striking.

- Frame rate issues. WORKING ON IT WORKAROUND BELOW What can I do in the meantime? If playing **single player,** we suggest that you **disconnect from your internet connection** (wifi or network cable). It could potentially improve frame rate.

Wait just a damned minute! Does that mean they removed always-online DRM?

Confirmed, this is the new new Sim City.

You know what's really, really funny?
When I play Assassin's Creed - the first one - I do the exact same fucking thing to avoid it trying to call home every 30-60 seconds and lagging when it can't.
I see nothing has changed.
