I can't help but imagine my horror and outrage if I had found that several people collaborated to flip my (mid-size sedan) car over.

How will you feel when you learn it wasn't several people?

Excited that The Incredible Hulk is in town?

What? I remember my childhood TV taking a good minute to "warm up".
The oldest TV (older than me) I remember was an ITT with 8 touch buttons for channels (which would sometimes switch if a fly walked over them), but as far as I remember, it was still fairly fast to warm up (you did have to get up to switch the channel though).

8 buttons?  So your TV stations were in octal?

So you have to enter "10" for channel 8.  What's wrong with that?

You could program 8 channels (in that particular model, you pushed a plate under the touch buttons, which revealed 8 knobs that you had to turn with a provided plastic screwdriver). The TV my grandmother had also had 8 buttons for programs (and given the time those TVs were made, that was more than the available terrestrial stations anyway, and cable was still at least a decade away).

Have you SEEN the Smarte ForTwo? Seems like a neat idea until you realize that for the same price you can get a car with a second row of seats, and a regular-sized engine.

I cannot understand why anyone would want a gas powered golf cart that can't even fit your clubs.

Well, it probably was, because he said "mid-size sedan," which means he's not talking about a ForTwo. (Or else he's a dwarf and has a different definition of "mid-size" and/or "sedan.")

What was that? I couldn't hear you, the sound was muffled by all this cash I've saved at the gas pump.

I like to just swim around in it like Scrooge McDuck.

He actually lives in Austin, but is too afraid to admit it. Only in Austin do they drive Priuses. In fact it's required.

Didn't you leave all that at the Toyota dealership? Anyways, any time I've looked at a hybrid, my breakeven point is best measured in decades. But then, I don't have a multi-hour commute.

You could also save quite a bit by buying a moped, but I'd still mock you for it.

Mockery from you somehow doesn't carry a lot of weight.

I'm surprised that you're allowed to sell a Prius in Texas.

    At one time.

Is relatively fat better than absolutely fat?

  • I love the concept of absolutely fat. I'm assuming it's some kind of theoretical physical limit on obesity. Turns out all those fat fuckers are really just experimental scientists, striving hard to advance the boundaries of human knowledge, not the gluttonous cunts we thought they were!

And every time one of these brave heroes makes a breakthrough for humanity, they keel over dead from heart failure.
