@Gustav I can remember starting a car like that...
I did that once as a test to check automatic transmission stuff. Doing it at highway speeds was probably not recommended, but science!

AFAIK, it doesn't usually work for automatic transmissions. It's not a problem for manuals, though. I used to have one which I'd somewhat routinely (anti-patterns thread is ) shut the ignition off at highway speed and coast with the clutch in to save gas. When I slowed down too much (to ~the speed limit), I'd release the clutch, the engine would start, and I'd accelerate back up to cruising speed and repeat.

Everything is removable if you try seriously enough.
Yeah usually putting it back together is where the problems come.

Honestly a few weeks ago I spent 2-3 hours putting a pressure relief valve on a pressure cooker back together after cleaning because I couldn't figure out how it's supposed to fit together. I googled but couldn't find any videos or instructions. The one time youtibe failed me.

No. We just open one more tab that we never close.

I have an entire wiki dedicated to my bookmarks, notes to go with them and the things I wanted to make a note of without necessarily caring about the page it came from…

I got an interesting ad yesterday on youtube shorts - a deepfake of Jennifer Aniston promising me a macbook for $10. I said sure, I'll play along, tried to go through the funnel, but apparently the funnel was busted. So this idiot is just going to spend all this money on ads (although I'm sure it's probably stolen money so he doesn't care so much) but still.

It looks like you're trying to build a LEGO model...

@Bulb Which pieces? The grey tubular pieces are definitely in the Lego part catalogue, and I'm pretty sure the eye inners and pieces to hold the eyebrows are too. The eye outers and brows... I don't know and I'm too lazy to find out.

I've seen the eyebrow piece before in a LEGO kit. Though it was red that time. I think it was supposed to be a sausage or something. But rest assured, it's LEGO .

Also available in other colours as a connector for things like some of the Botanicals sets.

That's why I called that out specifically. I didn't care too much for the skit itself.

I've posted before about the time I was on a group bike ride on a winding mountain road. The people at the front of the group started shouting a warning of "Duck ahead!", and we assumed they meant something like that. No, a mother duck and her ducklings were crossing the road.

@Tsaukpaetra I thought non-ferengi star trek was a no-money society? Triple zero docking fees I guess.

@PleegWat the Federation might be no money, but Bajor isn’t a member of the Federation. And the Federation does know how to trade - because at one point Sisko threatens Quark for back pay of rent for his bar…
Mind you, no money is also not entirely compatible with the Picard family’s vineyard facilities…

Things were better under the Cardassians. We didn't need to pay fees, we just sent them torpedoes.

@DogsB Good old trade by bartering.
