Things that remind you of WDTWTF members

Here, I transcribed it for the poor of sight:
Have I ever told you guys the story behind the N-Gage? I worked with an engineer who was on that team.
The whole project was mismanaged to fucking hell and was basically Nokia going "video games" and then "but we make cell phones" and the guys in charge were told to shove a Gameboy in a cell phone
The industrial engineer kept on sending design proposals to upper management over and over and they kept getting rejected for not having enough dumbass buttons and by the end it needed like 25 buttons to please them so the dude, as a stress relief thing, made a joke throwaway design and then shortly afterwards, changed projects.
When he found out management accepted the joke design, he was scared for his life, because he was afraid everyone realize that the finished N-Gage design was actually based on goatse.

I've seen two in the wild. Quite useless at both games and using for phone stuff.

I had one. If it had any processing power and they did raised buttons everywhere it would have okay. It was an okayish gameboy and nes emulator but everything else was just terrible. Every possible design mistake you can think of is there. Set back the idea of gaming on a phone about ten years it was so awful.

@Zecc there wasn't an emoji for WiFi before?!
-
Use in sequences:
To show the variety of goose breeds, the proposed GOOSE emoji can be combined
with ZWJ + skin tone markers or color markers, e.g. to symbolize grey geese, wild
geese, etc.

@GOG Well, it's not a real mechanical construct, so it is a faux machine.

So they filmed this stuff in portrait mode, added useless stuff on the sides to make it landscape (which is their fault, but if they hadn’t, YouTube would’ve added black bars to make it landscape anyway), and I’m watching this on a portrait mode device so I see the original video with borders on all 4 sides taking up roughly 1/9th of the screen.
Fuck, I hate everything.

Protip: rotate your phone 450 degreees

So it can take up a full 1/3 of the screen when in a sane world it should take up all of it?
Yeah, that solves my fundamental issue with this.(Also, it’s 540° )

If you want to turn 90 degrees too far, sure. This explains your issue.

Apparently not. The seven-page rationale document is quite a read. TIL the standard process of getting an emoji approved involves comparing the popularity of its concept with the word "elephant" using a Google search. I also quite like the "Use in sequence" section with examples like ("Wifi is awful and I need a drink")

We need an "et al" emoji.
The interest overall for Wireless is clear since almost all global regions show the prevalence of search
for Wireless and showing a higher interest than “Elephant”.And I'm surprised by the lack of porn related emojis.

@Zecc Goddammit. The guy starts with a pure salesman pitch about how things are a tad complex and inconvenient these days, touches a bit on nostalgia and then...
To have all my documentation fast and simple, I prefer {$product}! (audience gasps!)
And then it turns out it's so simple after all. There's a million steps involved, that will also fail inexplicably as soon as the next week after the blag post is written, if they do not already. And lo, just a few hours later you've got the MacOS version; there's different programs for other platforms that will surely work exactly the same
Productive, yes
From a certain point of view.
