Rogers internet and wireless networks are down nationwide, as are the resellers. My phone isn't on the Rogers network so it's still somewhat working

You wouldn't be making that mistake if you less blood in your caffeinestream. You need a good cup of tea.

Arguably not. There are many instances of tea (beverage) preparation where no tea (solid) is used at all. The water is the most essential bit, really - that's what makes any tea that you make (beverage) into tea. In this case, sweetener tea.

Status: Fan blown off. Problem is, I'm not sure which fan is counting as "FAN1". Pretty sure that's the rear fan, which was spinning just fine.
But anyways, I decided to look at the temperature stats, see if it was the CPU being hot or something...
Not that. Weird.

@Tsaukpaetra has a weird hardware problem. Meanwhile, water is still wet; film at 11.

No, no, no. A good news lede needs to grab the reader's attention. Try "@Tsaukpaetra Blows Off Fan".

I wouldn't be so sure. The Internet is big, and rule 34 is a thing.

Status: Does home made marmelade ever go bad? Well, we’re about to find out.
Found some awesome plum marmelade (powidl??) I got from my neighbor forever ago, which has reached @Tsaukpaetra age by now. Took all the manliness I could muster to open the glass. Looks ok, smells ok.If I’m gone tomorrow, you know what’s up.

Status: I spend 90% of the day in the computer room, and it's always the hottest room in the house (except when the A/C is blowing frigid air directly on me, because my desk is right under the vent), so I didn't really think much about it. It was hot, but it's always hot. The rest of the house seemed warmer than usual, but I wasn't out there much to really pay attention.
It turns out the batteries in the thermostat died, so the A/C hasn't been running at all today, and it was 30°-ish in here. (Still a little
coolerless hot than outside, though; it hit 40° today.)

status alive. Also did not crap my pants, but only due to the kindness of a random Motel 6 night desk employee who let me use the staff bathroom. Because the area around the Seattle airport is awful and has no public restrooms anywhere.
And tomorrow is probably going to be another 5 hour drive back home, because 3 days of family is enough.

Seattle airport isn't in Seattle. It's between Seattle and Tacoma in the cleverly named city of SeaTac.

You're not entirely wrong, at least about the major cities. They're blazing hot, and they're filled with the kind of [ political comment redacted] who I expect will be leading citizens of literal Hell.

Status: Drinking Tetley, because my local grocery stores (at least the ones I usually shop at) are out of Red Rose, and I'd have to drive almost 10 miles to a store that has it in stock. Tetley seems to put a lot more tea in each tea bag; it's quite a bit stronger than I'm accustomed to. I might have to use only a single tea bag, instead of two.
-
@HardwareGeek you seem surprised that a tea bag has tea in it.
I have to admit, Tetleys does make a decent cuppa.

I put in a request last week but never received a Ticket number or receipt. I need for a new laptop to be configured in his name. Could you please let me know that status of it?

You know, if you didn't get a ticket number or receipt, did your tree really fall in the woods?
-
@Arantor said in The Official Status Thread:

It seems to work well for iced tea. It's strong enough that it doesn't suffer from the dilution of melting ice. OTOH, I'd chilled it to 0° before adding the ice, so not much has melted.

Why it claims motherfuckin' dock drivers are 1500 MB is its own thing, but by now don't you think it would have, I don't know... failed?
I guess it's better than the Microsoft Office installer, which claims to be 2818 MB...
