@MrL you're lying.
You know, cuz we're talking about House, and House said everybody lies. Now, laugh at my joke!
Yeah, strictly speaking I lied. I watched 2 episodes, hated everything about them, so stayed away ever since.

@dcon no, but BritBox does, and Endeavour and I think it even has Lewis with that numpty Laurence Fox in it being the second fiddle.
Obscure but that’s programming for you.
-
@Arantor Are these people coding or what?
-
@hungrier television programming. There’s a series called Morse, plus spin-offs.

I googled and found a site. Tho I had to translate those unicode chars into

Denial works too in many cases. I've seen a lot of my coworkers use depression, maybe I'll give it a go one day. Right now I'm trying out bargaining (see lounge status).

Not the only one. The theme to Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em is the title rendered in Morse code and the Morse code rendered in piccolo.

Found on some random blog:
A recent post to the Haskell libraries mailing list began with:
"It was pointed out to me in a private communication that the tuple function \x->(x,x) is actually a special case of a diagonalization for biapplicative and some related structures monadicially.
It received 39 pretty enthusiast replies.

@Gribnit I suspect he understands the first part:
the tuple function \x->(x,x) is actually a special case
One needs to take a guess what that function does, as it is in a language that uses a rather abbreviated form (I that the backslash should really be
λ
but that's non-ASCII). It's not very odd.But:
a diagonalization for biapplicative and some related structures monadicially
feels like word salad. I'm not even sure that I can establish a consistent parse of it that characterises each word with its meta-syntactic status correctly. It's like it is missing a critical noun.
-
@dkf I've got that mapped to a jeu ne cest quais around Tuple and the 2-adic interfaces Function and BiConsumer at the moment, not sure if even close. The tuple specialization I use in streams and another I've used to represent fields-in-abstract are suggestive of something like a surface of identity in there somewhere.
ed. hurr durr fart booby.

@Gribnit you, sir, win today. I can’t tell if you’re being serious or trolling on this one. But there will be tomorrow.

Well, surrendering before you start is a good basis for French

(also, nobody would actually say that in France. Maybe in Québec?)
Of course. Like 10 000 spoons on your wedding day.

@DogsB
Ironically the radio started playing Alanis while reading this conversation ... but not that song, that would have been weird

@DogsB I’m sorry, I couldn’t resist.

@boomzilla fun fact: rear fog lights are mandatory in Poland. Front fog lights are optional. But if you have front fog lights that don't work, that's illegal.

@boomzilla I should say not. First question is "where can I plug in."

@Luhmann
Just don't show her your floppy drive without prior consent.
-
@izzion
Excuse me! My drive is perfectly hard thank you.

@Applied-Mediocrity I guess I should condemn TDD before someone pulls Charlottesville on me.
TDD is bad and that guy should feel bad.

There are some very fine people practicing TDD properly. I suspect some types of developers just aren't suited to it.
