Update: he's gone to sleep in that spot

@error work is not allowed. Cat needs warm place. And cat needs come first.
We had a kitten for a while growing up that would fall asleep on top of our CRT monitor with its little paw dangling over the front edge. Super cute.

If the cat needs that, it's time to rebuild clang and chromium from source.

TSA have to do their security spiel, let cat out of carrier:
I'm imagining this scene with Yakety Sax playing in the background:
... [The poor cat] panicked ... and led her owner and airport staff on a chase that ended when the cat climbed a series of platforms to a ceiling enclosure and disappeared inside.

Reminder that half the world's population may be infected with a parasite that causes rodents not to fear the smell of cat urine.
Infections with toxoplasmosis usually cause no obvious symptoms in adults.
Up to half of the world's population is infected by toxoplasmosis, but have no symptoms.[7] In the United States, approximately 11% of people are infected, while in some areas of the world this is more than 60%.[3]
Infection with T. gondii has been shown to alter the behavior of mice and rats in ways thought to increase the rodents' chances of being preyed upon by cats.[128][129][130] Infected rodents show a reduction in their innate aversion to cat odors; while uninfected mice and rats will generally avoid areas marked with cat urine or with cat body odor, this avoidance is reduced or eliminated in infected animals.[128][130][131]
Some evidence links T. gondii to schizophrenia.[153]
Latent infection has been linked to Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.[154]
Latent T. gondii infection in humans has been associated with a higher risk of automobile accidents, potentially due to impaired psychomotor performance or enhanced risk-taking personality profiles

Yeah, but brain cancer wasn't on that list.

A warm place, not the literal fires of hell.

d&d cat status
So one of the player characters has a taking cat. Or maybe the other way around. She's snarky, superior, and hides in people's shadows, literally. And knows way more than she's telling about this character, whose background is a mystery even to him (amnesia). And loves to drop cryptic hints and conversational bombs at fun times and then vanish, Cheshire cat style.
Another character did a shady drug deal for "the best stuff". Ie special catnip. And fed it to the cat. My reaction was to post the cat crack video that was posted here a while ago. Cat had the super zoomies for a while. They were amused. Now they've got a lever over the cat for info.
