The police, the fire service and an ambulance
If you report an incident to either police or fire/rescue/ambulance services they will inform the others if their assistance sounds needed. In this case they all joined the party.
But I don't get how they are being send a bill either ... TFA mentions that the trail is allowed by the local major and that there are signs ... what more can you when organizing stuff? Ask passers by to sign a 'I'm not stupid' waver? The article also makes a play at the name of the commune Zottegem but forgets to clarify that zot is Dutch for lunatic.
Damn

Yes, but now you can get it on amazon. That's new.

The emergency services were called out because somebody had seen two pairs of legs poking out of a pond. There were fears people were drowning

I understand your incomprehension: it says "two pairs of legs poking out of a pond" instead of "...out of an ice sheet".

@HardwareGeek I am familiar with water in a liquid state. It's in that state all summer

It's the additives that keep it liquid

Yes, indeed, that water is unusually transparent and homogeneous. Very little bicycle in there.

Received an email from Bountysource:
We want to inform and keep you updated on the progress of Bountysource.
Bountysource was recently acquired by The Blockchain Group
That landing page does not exactly inspire confidence:
The Blockchain Group
TBG is a global umbrella organization of engineers and entrepreneurs with the end mission to create a blockchain-powered ecosystem that allows businesses to harness the power of decentralized energy through its various divisions.
Ummm... I have seen worse, but "the power of decentralized energy" ?

I find it triggering that you're implying that Twitter ever had any morals.

Implementation was even more disastrous then anticipated although i like.
“Depending on the timing of the report and the short lifespan of a Fleet, a reported Fleet may expire before we can take action,” Kennedy said. “We do, however, keep copies of Fleets for a limited time even after they expire for purposes of reviewing them for violations.”
Twitter did not respond to a question about how long “a limited time” is.Visibility set to 0 then. At least they're somewhat honest.
Hours after VICE News asked Twitter about the concerns raised by Argentino’s posts, his account was temporarily suspended.

But at around 1:30 a.m. Friday, Mancuso says someone hacked into a family’s doorbell system and made deputies think someone had been shot.
“We get a call from someone who says they’re 13 years old, gives the name of the people who live there, and says he just shot and killed his father. So, we get there, we start giving verbal commands, commands over the speaker, knocking on the door. We actually see somebody crawling on the floor and we assume it’s the homeowner who’s been shot,” said Mancuso.
