Phoenix police are investigating possible [ya think?] sex abuse at a nursing facility after a female patient in a vegetative state recently gave birth, reports CBS Phoenix affiliate KPHO-TV. Sources tell the station a near-drowning incident at least a decade ago left the alleged [!!] victim in that condition and she's been a patient at the Hacienda HealthCare facility ever since.

They experimented with tobacco plants, just because tobacco is easy to work with.
The scientists now are trying to do the same thing with plants that people actually rely on for food, like tomatoes

Wouldn't every thing a staff did for such a patient be documented?
How is a woman's period dealt with? Was there no observation that this has changed?
Also, assuming this woman wasn't obese when she entered care wouldn't someone notice weight gain?
-
@PJH They need to find this guy and transfer them to the morgue.

In theory, couldn't it not be another patient or a visitor?

@Karla if it's a locked coma ward, chances are reduced, but if they have no coma ward, sure.
Arizona is dry Florida.

@boomzilla Coincidentally, this could also serve as a counterargument to Intelligent Design because what nitwit designs a process which a) takes the wrong educt regularly and b) produces a harmful product as a result?

@Rhywden Same kind as goes "Let's jam this nerve through the front of the retina" and "Let's breathe and eat through the same tube"

@raceprouk think about it, though, you can legally be a parent at 16, it's feasible to be a grandfather at ~33.
I had a coworker tell me that when her daughter was born her (my co-worker's) mother was 26.

My sister (who could technically be my daughter under the correct circumstances) had a baby last year. I'm not quite 30.
It's going to be a little weird having an uncle practically your own age (littlest bro is 5).
What a wonderful world do we live in?

Meaning if I actually started fucking around at the appropriate age instead of not.
Puberty was incredibly boring for me....
Edit: Also, if both parents are the same, what difference would that make? :/
-
@Tsaukpaetra Her mother is, presumably, related to you, and her father is, presumably, not you.

Yes. And even if the reverse were true, her parents would still be different, no?
I'm confused what you're trying to say here.
-
@Tsaukpaetra I was referring to her parents being both different from her real parents, obviously, not being different from each other. Them not being different from each other would be highly unlikely, as humans do not reproduce asexually.
-

Oh, so like foster parents (or step parents) than biological?
'cause we have that in my immediate tree too.

I hear some are working to eliminate that shortcoming, but I have no idea the progress...
-
@Tsaukpaetra Saying "she could've been my daughter under the correct circumstances" makes it sound like you can imagine a possible universe where you got her mom pregnant, instead of whatever man she was actually with.
Except her mom is your mom, hence my comment about the circumstances being that both of her parents were different. Since for you to be one of her parents, her mom also would've had to be different. Unless... but I'm pretty sure you don't live in one of those regions of the US.
I probably would've said what you meant as something more like, "the same age that my daughter could've been, under the correct circumstances". At least in this case, to avoid incestuous implications...

Yes, that's how "my daughter" works. Why is this in question?

Why does my daughter's mother necessarily need to be my mother as well? Where are you getting these strange ideas? It's another universe, as you put it, why would this be a requirement in order to satisfy the statement?

Yeah. I mean, I'm open to the idea. Just, for some reason, societal stigma and PiV rape etc.
