@masonwheeler Baker's dozen maybe?

The only thing that cats actually need from meat is taurine. And there are vegetarian taurine supplements for cats.
It's not about needing meat so much as being well-equipped to digest other stuff. Even from the very beginning of the process, the mouth, we see this. Cats have carnivore teeth with none of the grinding surfaces that you see for plant-eaters.

Of course. I really should have caught that...

Well, to be honest, some of that wet catfood doesn't really require carnivore teeth either...

Or even the dry food.

@boomzilla Am I the only one here amused at people on this group complaining about excessive ry?
Admittedly, requiring cirumlocutions equivalent to something like "Nazi death camps on Polish soil" (except in Polish, presumably) is well into rasty territory.
I'd say there's a difference between being excessively ic because it's fun (and your job requires talking to a computer) on the on hand, and throwing people in jail for grammar nazi levels of ry on the other.

On the other hand, camels and pandas have sharp "carnivorous" teeth, but both are vegetarians.

The only thing cats need from raw meat is taurine, which is why it has to be added separately to most cat food. They still need more nutrients from meat, just the others survive cooking.

Pandas do. They are bears after all. But camels‽

So what you're saying is cats can be vegetarian as long as you feed them Red Bull.

Not sure what you're saying here. The only thing they need from meat, period, raw or cooked or processed, is taurine. And even that doesn't need to come from meat. I challenge you to name a nutrient they need which comes only from meat. You will not be able to do so.

But does it work in Wine?

-
@erufael A demon drinker

I drink with whichever the cup is closer to. I generally eat with the right, but sometimes eat with fork in left and knife in right.

name a nutrient they need which comes only from meat. You will not be able to do so.

I don't think so. All Brits use too many

@boomzilla I would make a joke about the

While it's a news page, it's talking about history, which by definition is olds not news. This is an interesting fact that I learned from TFA:
"She actually came here in 1968. She was one of the first group of African-Americans that integrated Nicolet High School," Nicolet High School U.S. history teacher and Nicolet alumna Jamie Holifield said.

For clarification (for those who may not know,) 'Barking' is a town not far from London within the M25, not a description of the state of mind of the woman being reported on.
Though in this instance, it passes for both.
