It's the usual battle between security and usability
Dunno, you're probably right. Just, it's kinda intuitive to do that and it's actually pretty well designed, you just pop open the correct menu in settings and you turn off FMI. Every time you give your device in for repair they're going to ask you to turn it off. People not remembering to do that when selling they're stuff are completely !
Although I do understand why people would fail to do this, I can't really find another response than that they're .

But you can't log in to the other email accounts associated with the Google account that Google sends the email to as well. It's the only reason I haven't closed my Yahoo account.

You also can't remove the push notifications sent to any Android devices (and maybe signed-in Chrome instances?)
